2027 Season Awards - LEAGUE VOTED
Thanks to everyone for participating! We had every single GM vote this year for the second year in a row!
*Note: 5 points given to a 1st place vote, 3 points given to a 2nd place vote, and 1 point given to a 3rd place vote. First place votes are in parentheses.
Additionally, only those selections who received a First Place vote (OR) at least 10 total points are displayed below.
MVP
Winner: Zion Williamson, NYK - 62 pts (9)
Runner Up: Michael Porter, SAC - 56 pts (8)
3rd place: Ben Simmons - 31 pts (4)
Others receiving first place votes or at least 10 total points: Isaiah Cousins, LAC - 26 pts (2), Jabari Parker, DET - 25 pts (3), Marcus Smart, ATL - 25 pts (2), DeAndre Ayton, BRK - 15 (0), Stanley Johnson Jr, DET - 13 (1), Jayson Tatum, DEN - 10 (1)
Notes: Simmons is finally dethroned for the MVP title as Zion takes the crown this year by the ever so slim margin against MPJ. I have a feeling this is MPJs trophy to lose for the foreseeable future, but its nice to a see a big man not named Simmons take it home. Simmons falls hard to 3rd overall, but its hard to argue after the year Zion had.
DPoY
Winner: DeAndre Ayton, BRK - 76 pts (10)
Runner Up: Kaiser Gates, DET - 61 pts (6)
3rd place: Justice Winslow, HOU - 41 pts (1)
Others receiving first place votes or at least 10 total points: Lonzo Ball, PHI - 26 (4), Daniel Gafford, MIL - 24 (4), Marcus Smart, ATL - 17 (3), Terrance Ferguson, NYK - 6 (1)
Notes: Ayton goes back to back for DPOY awards and its no surprise there as he continues his dominance of the paint. This is the same top 3 as last year except Winslow and Gates have switched positions with Gates improving upon his 2026 year in terms of STP%. Daniel Gafford is new to the list though and proves that defensive big men still hold a lot of value in the league.
Rookie of the Year
Winner: Jarrett Culver, MEM - 91 pts (15)
Runner Up: DeAndre Hunter, DAL - 66 pts (5)
3rd place: Jordon Varnado, MEM - 48 pts (5)
Others receiving first place votes or at least 10 total points: Darius Garland, WAS - 40 (3), Christ Koumadje, MIN - 15 (1)
Notes: I'm honestly surprised it was even this close as I thought it was clear that Culver had by far the best year as a rookie. Hunter surprised a lot of GMs this season with his volume and Varnado being top 3 proves that Andrei nailed last years draft and has Memphis heading in the right direction. Top pick Garland had a solid year, but him and Culver will forever be linked and compared moving forward.
Most Improved Player
Winner: Isaiah Cousins, LAC - 58 pts (7)
Runner Up: Michael Porter Jr, SAC - 55 pts (6)
3rd place: Nassir Little, NOP - 33 pts (5)
Others receiving first place votes or at least 10 total points: Jarrett Allen, DAL - 25 (3), Ky Bowman, LAL - 23 (2), DeAaron Fox, BOS - 17 (2), Zion Williamson, NY - 15 (1), Hamidou Diallo, POR - 11 (1), Ja Morant, MIL - 8 (1), Troy Brown, MIL - 6 (1)
Notes: This probably would be different if the votes were cast after the playoffs, but I think it was as close as the votes show for MIP this year. Both Cousins and MPJ had breakout campaigns and look to lead their respective teams for the next several seasons. Fox proved hes back this year and is looking to be in the MVP race moving forward, while Diallo proved he belongs in the league.
6th Man of the Year
Winner: Alex Caruso, PHX - 62 pts (10)
Runner Up: Troy Brown, MIL - 51 pts (1)
3rd place: Terry Rozier, CHI - 45 pts (7)
Others receiving first place votes or at least 10 total points: Justice Winslow, HOU - 43 (7), Kevon Looney, GSW - 24 (2), Dzanan Musa, SAC - 16 (0), Marcus Derrickson, BRK - 11 (1), Derrick White, DEN - 5 (1).
Notes: Caruso had a monster year off the bench for the Suns and it got him the hardware here. Troy Brown showed up a good bit this year and Rozier had another solid year putting up gaudy stats for the Bulls.
GM of the Year
Winner: emplep7 - 47 pts (6)
Runner Up: mgtr81 - 42 pts (6)
3rd place: Dylan - 41 pts (3)
Others receiving first place votes or at least 10 total points: bt - 35 (3), CrownEliteUL - 22 (3), GreenBear - 17 (2), OneNole - 12 (1), Flaming Homer - 8 (1), AlexS - 8 (1), Marcos_Beck - 7 (1), Dennis - 5 (1), andrei - 5 (1), cb4raptorscb4 - 5 (1)
Notes: This one should have been taken after the playoffs so the winner could be dropped off this list all together, but the good old regular season champs got something I guess. Manu had a brilliant year rising the Bucks slowly out of the ashes and Dylan made the Clippers a western conference contender in one offseason. bt came in at 4th, but the roster construction obviously paid off, but overall a good spread of votes this year which is great to see.
Coach of the Year
Winner: emplep7 - 69 pts (9)
Runner Up: CrownEliteUL- 33 pts (4)
3rd place: bt - 24 pts (2)
Others receiving first place votes or at least 10 total points: mgtr81 - 18 (1), GreenBear - 17 (2), Dylan - 16 (3), Silogical - 14 (1), blackice - 13 (2), Ramcus - 10 (0), Flaming Homer - 8 (1), andrei - 8 (1), Dennis - 5 (1), TheTwoWallaces - 5 (1)
Notes: Again, yay for the regular season champs. bt claims third here while there is a good spread to round out the top 10 vote getters this year with BI and Ramcus being recognized for their coaching.
Congrats to all of the winners this year and overall on another successful season on the wild ride that is the CSL!
Thanks again to everyone for voting!

Re: 2027 Season Awards - LEAGUE VOTED
Great stuff. Memphis nailed last seasons draft, and with the growth of Varnado, Culver, Fernando, and new rookie Desmond Bane to look forward to, the Grizzlies had a fantastic season.
Thanks for all the votes from the league.

Re: 2027 Season Awards - LEAGUE VOTED
Looks not too bad but no idea how Cousins got MIP over Porter.
Per 36, Cousins goes from 25.0 ppg to 32.7 ppg (+7.7) but Porter from 20.6 ppg to 39.6 ppg (+19).
Absolutely robbed by his former teammate.

Congrats to those who won it!!!
IDK who voted me as GMOY, I don't feel like I deserved that, it was a rather mediocre season for Philly, but we'll rebound stronger.

Congrats to all the winners, especially Jon for sweeping GM and COTY. I think my personal vote went to Dylan, but heck of a season by all 3 of those guys.
