A True Raptor at Heart

8 games in, newly acquired Pascal Siakam is finally home. He looks good in the black and red and is possibly the leading candidate for 6th man of the year. He leads the league in rebounds with 17.3 per game, with MVP candidate Stanley Johnson Jr. roughly 2 rebounds behind him. On offense, he knows his role and plays within himself, he gives us decent scoring on 53 FG% and we'd love to get him more shots but there's only so much ball to go around with some shot hungry starters and NAW as the designated scorer off the bench. He is crashing the glass at a historical rate and we think that he'll keep it up. Whether that translates to wins, who knows, it's too early to tell. The Raptors are 5-3 but the story of the East lies in central division where Pascals old team the Bulls are 7-2. Michael Young has taken a back seat not having to do as much on both ends and can just concentrate on anchoring our defense and Patton can focus on scoring. Interestingly enough with Fultz, NAW in we've seen a decrease in scoring all around and FG%'s dip.

Can Pascal keep this up? Does he end up leading the league in rebounding? Time will tell. But whatever happens you can't deny Siakam was born to play for the Raptors.

Happy to see Pascal beastin for you mate, hope the same happen to NAW. I highly doubt about the 6man award, but for sure he will be an integral part of your team this season. Good luck moving forward.

Helluva start for Spicy P. Having him and Young on the boards is surreal. Heck, even add in Randle and you've got 3 of the best rebounders in the league. Good to clean up all of NAWs misses ;)

That is quite a rebound avg would not have thought that possible with Michael Young on the team.
Very promising start for the Raps, keep it up :-)

Siakam has always been a rebounding beast in this league, glad to see he's still putting up crazy rebounding numbers.

Yeah he's been a one man machine on the boards, funnily enough Michael Young led the league in RPG last season with 13.4 so the combination of the two is fun to play around with.

We had preliminary talks around him and then I decided to keep him. Technically I did make up my mind.
