The sub-matrix and strategies were set up as follows:
- Starters set to 28, Reserves set from 12-18 in the submatrix.
- Offensive Pace, OREB, DREB set to 10; Defensive Intensity and FCP were set to 1 and Zone Defense set to 5 for both teams. Offensive Set was set to Seven Seconds and Defense was set to Passive.
- The Brooklyn Nets represent the Eastern All Stars and the Golden State Warriors represents the Western All Stars.
The game started off pretty tight leading through the first half where Isaiah Taylor and Malik Monk led the West to a 4 point lead after two quarters of play. Coming out of the half though, the East blew open the game in the third quarter behind Brandon Ingram and his 16 points in that quarter to outscore the West alone. Michael Porter Jr got hot for the West in the fourth quarter, but it wasn't enough as Marcus Smart drained a finishing three pointer while the trio of Zion Williamson, Ben Simmons, and DeAndre Ayton grabbed every rebound that came their way and the East cruised to an easy victory in the end.
