Marble Rookie MVP ?

Post by DWK »

Image
Roy Devyn Marble has dazzled the Knicks coaching staff since being given the start at Shooting Guard at the beginning of the season when JR smith was injured Roy has proven he belongs in the starting lineup. He a pure shooter and able to take some pressure off of Melo when he's on the court he averaging 12 points a game in only little over 25 minutes of play.

The Knicks know Roy's not one of the big named rookies that are out there but for what he brings to the team he should be consider for Rookie MVP
New York Knicks
PG - Raymond Felton/E'twaun Moore
SG - Roy Marble/JR Smith
SF - Carmelo Anthony/Andrei Kirilenko
PF - Thaddeus Young/Andrei Kirilenko/Andrea Bargnani
C - Tyson Chandler/Andrew Bynum

This kid is playing great for some reason, but I think Parker has this award locked up.

Marble isn't going to overtake Jabari Parker for Rookie of the Year but man you've got to be very pleased with the amount of production this kid has given you. When I was running the Knicks, I dealt away Tim Hardaway Jr. to the Hawks for a boatload of picks and John Jenkins. If I stayed in NY, my goal was to find a replacement for Tim and looks like you've done that and then some. Keep the evolution of Knicks basketball going!

Nice type of ready now guy to pick up in the draft for a talented team.

Great pick for sure, but ROY? Playing too few minutes.

agree with OP - he is decent but not ROY candidate when compared to the likes of White and Jabari
Congrats to season 16 ASL champion SoulKey. For the Swarm!

Marble continues to put up good numbers for a playoff team. I'm currently working on my updated rookie rankings (it'll be up some time this weekend), and I can tell you that just about all of the rookies putting up decent numbers are on non-contenders. The fact that Marble is getting serious minutes with a team that's 26-16 and doing a lot with them is rare.
