Would be a good thing to do. Derozan is surfing on his recent hype (Only scorer in the Lakers last year + Jestor talent in media).
But he is not worth more than 10 milions a year in my opinion.

Here we go for the Top10 ranking by position after 2015/2016 CSL season!

Derozan fall short this year, count on him to be in top 10 next year.

SG:
1. James Harden - Houston rockets : 31.2pts, 51%, 5.8ast, 3.9rbd, 1.5stl, 0.5blk in 33min / EVAL: 96.7
2. Andre Iguodala - Houston rockets : 13.7pts, 49%, 6.1ast, 4.5rbd, 1.3stl, 0.6blk in 32.3min / EVAL: 80.4
3. Monta Ellis - Atlanta Hawks : 17.6pts, 46%, 5ast, 3.3rbd, 1.2stl, 0.3blk in 32.4min / EVAL: 79.5
4. Louis Williams - Portland Trailblazers : 15.8pts, 48%, 3.2ast, 2.2rbd, 0.5stl, 0.1blk in 23.8min / EVAL: 79.2
5. Dion Waiters - Washington Wizards : 19.4pts, 44%, 4.2ast, 4.2rbd, 1.5stl, 0.4blk in 34.5min / EVAL: 79.1
6. Nik Stauskas - Dallas Mavericks : 16.1pts, 49%, 1.3ast, 2.6rbd, 0.5stl, 0blk in 25.2min / EVAL: 77.7
7. Ben McLemore - Sacramento Kings : 11pts, 48%, 1ast, 2.3rbd, 1stl, 0.5blk in 21.1min / EVAL: 77.4
8. Klay Thompson - Milwaukee Bucks : 20.9pts, 44%, 2.7ast, 4.6rbd, 1.2stl, 0.5blk in 38.4min / EVAL: 76.8
9. Victor Oladipo - Minnesota Timberwolves : 15.4pts, 44%, 3.5ast, 4.8rbd, 1.6stl, 0.4blk in 33.6min / EVAL: 76.6
10. Nick Johnson - Oklahoma City Thunder : 15pts, 47%, 1.4ast, 3.2rbd, 0.9stl, 0.7blk in 25.7min / EVAL: 76.4

Behind (D.DeRozan, G.Harris, JR Smith)
So a guy that finished 11th and one you feel could be in the Top 10 this season isn't worth more than $10M?

What does this do to the value of your own rating system as at least half of the guys in the Top 10 make +$12M?

But he is not worth more than 10 milions a year in my opinion.

10 millions seems the right price, more is an overpaid.
16M a year a big overpaid.

And if you check the ratings with other position, you will see SG is probably the weakest postion in the entire league.

DeMar DeRozan: http://csl.we.bs/385.html

Very comparable and Monta just got $13M and considered a "great" signing by ATL, why wouldn't DeRozan be worth as much?

Because Monta has pass/handle/defense/steal all much better. In fact, Monta is a better PG from a floor general standpoint than anyone on Denver roster.

Monta is also more regular over the years

2015 - Monta Ellis - Atlanta_Hawks : 17,6pts, 46%, 5ast, 3,3rbd, 1,2stl, 0,3blk in 32,4min / EVAL: 79,5
2014 - Monta Ellis - Detroit Pistons : 17,3pts, 45%, 5,6ast, 4,5rbd, 0,9stl, 0,3blk in 34,5min / EVAL: 78,7

2015 - Demar Derozan - LosAngeles_Lakers : 18pts, 47%, 1,1ast, 3,3rbd, 1stl, 0,1blk in 26,5min / EVAL: 75,6
2014 - Demar Derozan - Toronto Raptors : 18,9pts, 43%, 1,7ast, 4,9rbd, 0,8stl, 0,2blk in 34,8min / EVAL: 71,0

Derozan was brilliant with the Lakers because he was in the right system. But he was coming off the bench in Toronto and almost didn't play with the Clippers.

Could be argued ATL had a better supporting cast, which actually is true what am I thinking... and DeMar put up slightly better #'s/ %'s than Monta and this is with dapralbe as GM of the Hawks still who is experienced and runs a tight system just as you do.

I'd argue DeMar is the equivalent or better or valuable (age), I also you have a vested interest in DeMar just as the Nuggets GM but just pointing it out to Chili about the financial remark concerning DeRozan's projected value.

Am i missing something? I'm a rookie GM and i don't even know what dapralbe means. lol

Ya i plan on rotating Ellis between the SG and PG positions. I'm hoping Williams and Vasquez help with that. But we'll see of course.
I like DeMar myself. But I couldn't afford to bid on him.

My favorite was when he called Ricky Rubio "Ricky Blonde" because he used a google translator I think

Ohhhh how much I miss Daniel! Haha
He was a great guy for sure, but Atlanta seems to be in wise hands again now :)
