Re: Pre-season/File Planning
It makes sense to me. There's no reason to nerf players in the 40s for example. That's unrealistic. I say reserve judgement till it's seen in action 1st

Re: Pre-season/File Planning
Elite blkers were buffed in 22 so it makes sense they are nerfed in some way. I dont think there should be a hard cap though.
85 blker is better than 80 blker in 2019
They both need to be nerfed but 85 should still be better than 80 in 2022

Re: Pre-season/File Planning
Why would that be unrealistic? If block is as strong as said - even though weird it was boosted first - also lower ones will be stronger in blocking. Also, more about fairness to the league. If difference between 55 rated block and 70 block rated player isn’t the same as before it’s definitely a huge impact on the strength of teams/players.
Steal back then was changed for all the same. So it was fair. Btw, I can see why you are happy with some mid 50 guys in blocking . I’m just no fan if admins interfere with the balance of power of the league between the teams.

Re: Pre-season/File Planning
What I just notice now. Holy shit. Strong blocking guards ~60 now became monsters. They basically didn’t lose block ratings at all but are only like 6-10 points away from best blockers overall. Crazy.

Re: Pre-season/File Planning
I mean I know you don’t actually believe that the game would have a guard at 6’3 with a BLK rating of 60 average the same number of blocks as a PF at 6’10 with the same rating. DDS has always tied height and position directly to blocking ability. A guard with a rating of 90 averaged around 1.5 +/- 0.5 bpg where Ayton averaged over 6 with that same rating.

Re: Pre-season/File Planning
We will see in preseason. But in my file it was ~1.7 blocks for 60 rated BLK guard vs ~2.1 for a ~60 rated big. ~70 rated bigs checked out at 2.6 highest.emplep7 wrote: ↑Tue Aug 02, 2022 11:22 pmI mean I know you don’t actually believe that the game would have a guard at 6’3 with a BLK rating of 60 average the same number of blocks as a PF at 6’10 with the same rating. Re: Pre-season/File Planning
has there been any consideration to letting us *increase* a players PASS% ? Certain players that were ok in 19 simply are not working in this engine, and jacking up Drive/Pass doesn't seem to do what it used to, still results in a ton of shots, usually bad shots. A lot of those players, especially forwards/bigs have very low PASS%

Yeah, I mean once everyone is setting different strats we are seeing different results so if this pre-season shows that then we're still open to doing a global adjustment.Dennis wrote: ↑Wed Aug 03, 2022 4:10 amWe will see in preseason. Re: Pre-season/File Planning
Thats an interesting question since we mostly dont want anyone to lower the PASS%. Andre and myself will talk this over about incorporating this into the first lump set of changes for the regular season and communicate out what the plan will be for that.KW wrote: ↑Wed Aug 03, 2022 5:32 pm has there been any consideration to letting us *increase* a players PASS% ? Re: Pre-season/File Planning
understandable- i was only considering it as a one-time thing to happen as part of the transition.emplep7 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 03, 2022 6:10 pmThats an interesting question since we mostly dont want anyone to lower the PASS%.
