Well, that was a hell of a season for the Hawks.
Normally time to celebrate and let it sink in.

But the CSL offseason will not wait and I have the feeling we will soon look at some tough decisions to make. Obviously I will try to keep the championship core together and go for a repeat. But that is the last year looking at good financials and I need to look ahead and see what way seems best.

No one is totally off limits, we also can decide to create cap to use in FA or in a trade to take on salary.

#1 on our shopping list is a starting caliber big, who fits our timeline. Metu is unfortunately not getting any younger.

S&T Options
LaMelo Ball
Reggie Perry
Dragan Bender
Coby White

There are some ideas swirling around Okoro and Naji Marshall.

If you are interested in them, shoot me an offer.

Small update before FA.

We will try hard to bring back the full core and will take a closer look into trading option after FA or during the season. Depending of how we play and how our finances look.

That leaves pretty much only young and developing player on my trade block for now:

Lindy Waters III - 3D
Jacob Gilyard - solid PG with high STL
Tristan da Silva - this years Pick 22, after trade is posted and processed
Joshua Obiesie - wing defender (Day 30)

Updated for the start of the season.
We will stick with our core at least til day 30 and see if the team can be successful again.

Until then we still would be open to trade some younger prospects for better fitting pieces or future draft capital.

Lindy Waters III - 3D
Tristan da Silva - young backup big
Joshua Obiesie - wing defender (Day 30)
Izan Almansa - stretch big (had a good TC and could be a useful bench piece)
Marcio Santos - needs a lot of work but maybe someone wants to try it out

We are actively looking to trade for a young big who can play besides Perry beyond this season.
Everybody is available, it it can net the right player.

Other option would be a proven vet big for just this season, for one of our young prospects.

Lindy Waters and Tristan da Silva involved in some talks and may gone soon.
If you have interest in one or both, let me know.

Looking for a big in return obviously :-)
A first would do too as universal currency.

Probably not much movement from us until at least the trade deadline, but we would not be opposed to add a vet big.

Available:
Tristan da Silva
Kerwin Roach (after day 60)
Tadas Vaiciunas
Izan Almansa

After trading for Garza, we should be set and will re-evaluate around trade deadline.

Still open for any ideas though. Not actively looking into breaking up the core but with cap in mind, it is only a question of time.

With this season very likely going nowhere, it is time to think ahead. Our wiggle room below the cap slowly gets smaller and smaller and I may have to look into trading one of our core sooner than later.

Right now Naji Marshall, Jose Alvarado and Isaac Okoro would be likely candidates for a trade.
If you have interest in one of them (or someone else), reach out.

Naji played himself of the trade block with his performances lately.
If he proceeds like that, his upcoming salary is more than earned.

Most likely we will run the season out with our current team. I really would like to see the core from last year to have one other shot and we have the finances to give them a chance next season. Hopefully none of the key players goes down again for a full year.

Season is in the bag and we need to work on this roster. Main goal is to upgrade our front court or at least find cheap but capable depth there. Secondary goal is to streamline our finances going forward.

(Almost) untouchable:

It would take a huge offer to make me think to send one of those guys out.

Reggie Perry
LaMelo Ball
Naji Marshall (S&T)
Keegan Murray

Up for discussions:

Isaac Okoro
Jose Alvarado
Gyorgy Goloman (S&T)
Chima Moneke (S&T)
Chimezie Metu (S&T)
Jacob Gilyard

We could still look into trading Jose Alvarado for some younger (and cheaper) talented PG.
If interested, reach out.

Trade block for the new season:

For financial reasons we will look into trade scenarios for Jose Alvarado and Chima Moneke. Also Paul Reed is available after we were able to acquire Donta Hall for the next 2 seasons.

No one is truly untouchable, reach out with any ideas.

Officially listening to offers on everybody.

I intended to run this roster for years to come with the age and roster construction around my core. But looking ahead at my RL schedule, it may be not the worse time to start another fun rebuild.
Interesting what offers would look like.

Plan A still is to free some cap and smooth it out around the edges though.

Alvarado is getting some interest and may be on his way out too.

We are playing well right now but my focus is on getting younger and especially cheaper in our contracts surrounding Naji, Murray and Perry.

Small addition: Donta Hall can be had too.

I really like his talent at that price tag, but he is getting into fights with Perry. You better know your position in the pecking order buddy.

We are looking for a defensive minded (bocking ability would be important) starting caliber center.

For the right guy, I consider putting LaMelo on the block. Alvarado, young players or a first can be dealt too.

Got some inquiries and ideas for LaMelo.
Thinking about it. The team may need some fresh blood.
