Jakob Poltl Suffers Torn Achilles

Jakob Poltl suffered a torn achilles in the first half of the Charlotte Hornets' game last night against the Philadelphia 76ers. The Hornets were on a fine winning streak but will have to find a way to remain competitive for the remainder of the season without the 7-0 foot tall Austrian. He'll miss the next 265 days.

Poltl has been an important defensive presence for the Hornets this season. Poltl was averaging 4.8 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 1.7 blocks per game while hitting 50.7% of his shots.

Poltl recently re-signed with the Hornets on a 5-year deal worth $44,800,000.

Yeah that sucks man and I hate seeing these types of injuries. His stats aren't eye popping but its these types of players in this engine that play a much bigger role than their tangible stats show and I'm sure you will see it in your teams performance. You do have some solid depth though as a position so hopefully you are okay.
