Who's hot, who's not? (Week 1)

Post by rh0xxy »

HOT
1. Doncic - Luka is averaging a double-double of 40-10 in 6 games, while shooting a remarkable 51% from the field. MVP title seems in the bag this early.

2. Sixers - probably the most surprising start of the regular season, can they keep this up?

3. Nuggets - an almost perfect start but injury to Monk kept them from doing so, good thing it was just a minor one.

4. Heat - same as the Nuggets, and it's as expected. Only loss was a 3-pt defeat at the hands of the Magic where Christ was DNP.

5. Morant - Ja is on fire with 53-79-73 splits, leaving his critics in disbelief. This could be a fluke though, so we'll have to see.

NOT
1. Cavs - early struggle but about to return to norm.

2. Hawks - probably the least expected team at the bottom right now, GM Andre being busy may have to do with this.

3. Thybulle - Matisse is having an early struggle offensively, probably the worst in his career. This results also to a not so good start by the Kings. So much time to turn it around though.

4. Bulls - not as surprising considering they are on a rebuild but Preseason showing seems way way better.

5. Lakers/Suns - this is highly expected due to the fact that they are rebuilding.

I'm sure there's more that i missed. Feel free to bring these up for discussion.

Yeah surprised to see Luka doing well this early. I expect his stats to come down though.

Surprised to see the Cavs/Hawks/Bulls struggling early on

Too early to be able to assess much, but I've been quite impressed by Philly and Denver, especially Philly and their stifling defense

Ja is shooting 79% from three???

also we are decidedly in the "not" category as we work through a pretty massive change here. This is the first time in 19 seasons in the CSL that I do not have a lead scorer. We're going to need some time.

73% lol but not that high in volume. One of the fluke start perhaps but who cares? lol he's even on the trade block and no one seems to be interested

Spot on rhox, Thybulle seems to be easing his way into the season slowly from an efficiency point of view. Playing an amazing all around game so far (15.8 points, 8.3 rebounds, 7.8 assists, 1.8 blocks, 2.2 steals) but efficiency has eluded him so far. I'm confident it'll normalise soon though.

an Kofi what a monster. Only playing 27.5 minutes but averaging 19.7 points on 55.8% from the field.

Yeah, we are really suck big time right now. Don't think it is the lack of time last week, probably just choose the wrong strats to start the season or the guys forgot how to play bball at all.

Lets try and turn that around!
