Sixers Season Preview

Sixers Season Preview: We're here to win it, regardless lol

Image

Let's meet your 2031 Philadelphia 76ers or i may say the old Chicago Bulls roster lol

Depth Chart

Point Guard
Before: Morant - Michineau - Lee
Now: Morant - Hifi - Phills

Image
Can Morant be the AI of present time?

Ja Morant - a lot has been said about Morant's inefficiency and him being a misfit with his previous teams but it seems he has found a team that fully trust his capability as a lead guard. Ja didn't have the flashiest numbers he had before with Orlando but he looked to be a solid partner with Mitchell because of his offensive stability and ability to hit from long range with solid defense.

Shooting Guard
Before: Mitchell - Maxey - Weber
Now: Mitchell - Maxey - Weber

Image
There will be a healthy competition at the guard spot between this two

Davion Mitchell - the rising star from Baylor, Davion looks to solidify his status as the main man of the team following his remarkable Junior season. He has been consistent with his defense and he has gradually improved his offensive efficiency. He still has room to grow and you may have not seen the best of him just yet.

Tyrese Maxey - probably the most surprising Playoff performer of this team last season. Tyrese was just fantastic during that span, lighting up the score board off the bench. There's a lot expectation of him moving forward and he seems ready to take the challenge as the 6th man of the team for now.

Small Forward
Before: Bender - Morris
Now: Swanigan - Liddell - Tucker

Image
Caleb looked slimmer and perfectly fit to play the wing this season.

Caleb Swanigan - the defense enforcer from Denver. Caleb is projected to be the starting SF of the team once the regular season starts. His defense is definitely top notch but he needs to trim down a bit as he will be tasked to run after some quick wing opponents. His ability to shoot will be tested as well and his uncanny ability to pass the ball should be an added dimension to his game.

E.J Liddell - the 33rd pick of the recently concluded Rookie Draft, will have his time to develop while playing. He is at least a ready defender and rebounder to boot.

Power Forward
Before: Jordan Mickey - Anthony Davis
Now: Bam Adebayo - Georgios Tsalmpouris - Harry Giles

Image
Forget the team name, Adebayo will play as Adebayo regardless.

Bam Adebayo - this journeyman has still a lot in his tank. He was one of the reason of Denver's great success last season, teaming up with Bolden at the front court. He will be tasked to do just the same here in his newest team, forming a formidable defensive duo with Collins in the paint.

Georgios Tsalmpouris - the 24th pick overall, drafted ahead of GM's favorite player makes him one of the favorites as well lol Georgios is one of the young talents who very well fits the system run by the team. His ability to defend, and more importantly to press the ball is just what the doctor's order. He is projected to be the team's starting SF once he fully develops.

Center
Before: Collins - Qi - Richards
Now: Collins - Sotto - Richards

Image
Kai is thrilled to play in front of millions of fans all over the world.

Zach Collins - the ever reliable paint operator in the league. Just like Bam, he is a journeyman having stint with several teams already but that goes to show that he was liked by a lot of teams. He is one of the most underrated big man in the league, who can contribute efficient offense and excellent defense.

Kai Sotto - last but not the least is the 30th overall pick from the Philippines. Kaiju was mocked as a lottery pick but was too risky of a pick because of the red flags reported about him. Sotto will be groomed to be the future 6th man of the team, yeah we're not expecting starter minutes from him lol He looks very promising though.

Team overview

The team looked like a player for the Play-in once again but we'll try our best to win even more to make our pick respectable. No, we will be fighting for the Championship, so you better watch out lol

I like this Philly team and what you've done with them.

Especially adding Bam in the frontcourt. I'd even venture to say playing Bam at C may work even better?

Nice moves though.

This is a nice roster with excellent mix of defense and offense.
Maybe one piece away from bigger things but Rhox always knows how to make teams perform over what they can.

Defensively this team will be very good, curious to see if giving all the touches to Morant along with MItchell will work out in the long run. Bam is a great addition, and I think he's very underrated and he was a big reason why my team made the play-in 2 seasons ago.

I'm really interested to see your frontcourt of Bam and Collins play together. On paper, they look like a strong tandem.

Defensively, the Sixers are obviously going to be a huge force. Your perimeter defense might be the best in the league, especially at forcing TOs. And again, Bam/Collins will slow down opposing frontcourts.

Offensively, the Sixers are more of a mixed bag. There’s a lot to like about Morant and Mitchell, as they do a lot of things really well. Finding a way to make that duo just a bit more efficient is the key to elevating the Sixers into the upper echelon of the East. The Sixers are not far off at all, and we’ve already seen what rhoxxy can do in the playoffs. Really fun team :)

The starters are solid, the bench is weak. Playoff team as long as you can dodge injuries.

Yeah, feel like the season relies on how efficient Morant and Mitchell can be. Like if they have good seasons offensively, it'll go a long way but a struggle season and could be a long season.

Although very good defensively means that might not be as important, hard team to pick.

The backcourt with Morant, Mitchell and Maxey was looking great during last years playoff run! I was really surprised f how good they were and I'm really curious, if they can repeat that over a full season.

Getting Bam to pair him with Collins is also an interesting move and an improvement.

The team is not just total elite on defense, it also has some legit scoring options now. Well done and can't wait to see the on court product.

As any Rhoxx managed team this will be a tough matchup, with suffocating defense.
