New York Knicks Season Review
The season has ended for the Knicks and now becomes the time to check out the scouting and waiting for the lotto balls to fall. The knicks finished with a record of 28 wins which is 8 more wins then last season so thats an improvement so now we take a look back at the season that was and how the players did and discuss their future.

PG: Markelle Fultz, Moado Lo , Jeremy Lin.

Fultz Rookie year was filled with lots of ups and downs , he was 9th in assists per game in the league and did have a purple patch in lat march and early April but bigger things are to be expected of him next season and hopefully more developement as well.

Lo is a rfa this year but its undecided if the knicks will bring him back , lo has the firepower and does well off the bench and he teamed with Fultz late in the year to some great victories. Lin was a rental and his poor shooting let him down he wont be back.

SG/SF: Justin Anderson, Tim Quarterman, Malcolm Miller , Keita Bates and Julian Washburn.

Andersons shooting numbers went down this year but he did manage a career high and rebounds per game ( 5.2 ) and all expectations are the he will return with the knicks unless the price to high as anderson is a free agent this year.

Quarterman had a breakout year and started most of the season until injury hit, his 18.7 ppg a career high and he can score in bunches but his role isnt clear for next season and depends who they draft but the knicks will ask him to work on his free throws . As for Miller , Washburn and Diop all three will be back with miller having an impressive season the knicks will want to bring him back.

PF/CE: Josh Davis , Justin Jackson Jnr , Nerlens Noel, Damontas Sabonis , Stephen Zimmerman and Isaiah Hartenstein.

The Knicks big man depth is an issue especially if injuries hit like they did this year , Jackson had a mediocre Rookie season and was shooting above .500 at the start of thee season as the knicks will look to work on him next season and work on that area

Davis tied Ben Simmons for the most rebounds per game ( 11.6 ) he to thou needs to work on his shooting but is a monster on the boards. Noel will be in his last season with that big contract that manu gave to him but he is a valuable addition as a veteran to the knicks squad while Sabonis is expiring this year but he is one of stocktons favourite players and will be looking to come back to the knicks squad long term. Zimmerman and hartenstein will both most likely be gone by next year with Zimmerman a free agent and Hartenstein showing orlando what he can do.

So the knicks have a big free agency coming with Sabonis, Anderson and Lo all up for contracts and they need depth and hopefully pick number #7 becomes a good player for the knicks need no mattter where it lands in the draft.

It was a pretty solid season for you guys, as you guys had some pretty good wins against some good teams throughout the year.

Patience as always the most important thing in NY!! ... Right Phil? ;-)

I liked the development the team made this season. Even with some critics about Fultz and JJJ, I think they played more than solid rookie seasons. Fultz big chance is that the new engine boosts his development a bit more (in the old he would be probably stuck with the ratings), his play was promising but if he get some better ratings he can be maybe a Trae light.
JJJ is a very good big and will be only 19 next season.
Adding one more young player with this years pick and a solid core is in place.

If you can keep Lo, Anderson and Sabonis for reasonable price, even better.

I’m a bit afraid of having them in the Atlantic haha. But new joiners can learn a lot from Phil! He didn’t trade his picks, evaluated the assets he had very carefully and only traded when he thought it helps his plan. And look at him now - okay admittedly some luck have been part of it -, he’s having maybe the best young big three in the league.

Ps: I would go doncic ;P.. he will be a stud in the new engine. But you can’t go wrong anyway and I’m fully expecting you to make the right decision for your team anyway.
