Well Lonzo Ball is already better than Steph Curry, so this should be a given.Chilikonkarne wrote:So according to him, Lakers are playoffs team next year...

I want to thank my mom, my dad and God for this moment. I worked so hard for this and take full credit. Now I'm rich, rich, rich and gonna build my own super brand. If Nike or whoever want to sign me now, the price has gone up to $10 billion.
Congrats to season 16 ASL champion SoulKey. For the Swarm!

Re: Caption This
I think he's actually starting to mellow out. Last night, before the draft, he said that when Lonzo gets picked 2nd it will be the second best feeling of his life. He said #1 was his boys being born. ESPN tried to bait him right after that by saying they thought Big Baller Brand was #1, and Lavar immediately said no way, family first. They don't have anything without family.
Skip actually put it beautifully: "I will not condemn LaVar for overloving his son. Too many dads are never there for their sons. Mine never was."

Re: Caption This
Yeah, I'm not buying it. He's looking to profit off his kids first and foremost imo. Clearly he's good at it capturing the Kardashian-esque attention to build a brand. So I'll give him that. He knows exactly what outrageous thing to say when the camera is rolling. He'll fit in perfectly in LA though. Best possible landing spot for the Ball family. He would not have lasted long in Philly.Myles wrote:I think he's actually starting to mellow out. I laughed pretty hard when this aired.Chilikonkarne wrote:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iPteUZfRrKw
But I genuinely don't think LaVar is just trying to profit off of his kids. I think he wants what's best for them. Just ignore him if you don't like him, that's what I've been doing.

Re: Caption This
Totally agree. He is laughing at himself everytime he talks. He knows it's ridiculous but they are going to make boatloads of money and free publicity as a result. His kids are fucking sick ballplayers and he knows it. His middle son is barely above average but will go to the NBA because of the exposure his family is getting him.stelfair333 wrote:I laughed pretty hard when this aired.Chilikonkarne wrote:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iPteUZfRrKw

I don't take anything he says at face value, he's a joke and he knows it but it's working. The people who take him serious are fools.

Re: Caption This
Easier said than done. Been trying to ignore the Ball drama, but it's impossible when you follow the NBA as closely as some of us do. Lonzo going to the Lakers isn't going to help that at all.
