Re: DDS22 Testing/Bug Thread
After the release of the first beta version there were complains in the first access forum that, especially for guards, post scoring is too dominant. Gary adjusted that slightly in the next version.
All our test's were run with the updated game version and the different league files we used for testing had guards like Doncis, Taylor, Cousins, Fox ... avg FG% between 43-48% over a full season. With indeed a bit lower % inside.
I think we still need more sims to get the full picture.
At least from what I see with the Atlanta players, they are pretty streaky, one player gets on a hot streak and his shooting looks great and then he shoots blanks the next 4 games and all looks different.

Re: DDS22 Testing/Bug Thread
To echo what Andre posted, things did normalize throughout a whole season for the most part but the bug where every GM can just instruct every player only to go into the post was mitigated a bit to make it less OP which is what we will see a bit more of.
There is definitely going to be an adjustment for all of us to the changes the games dynamic provides (and if we find that something needs to be fixed globally, we are open to that as well) but overall things will normalize with a larger sample size.

Re: DDS22 Testing/Bug Thread
Okay, interesting! Because I see similar behaviour offline when using scouting ranges from past years classes. Confused me. They all ended up betwee 35-40%. Suprised to see so many solid players being shooting super bad. I really have only fox above 40% of the starter on the wing/guard positions. Same for many many other teams.

Re: DDS22 Testing/Bug Thread
I'm gonna run a little test the next three preseason sims. Currently JJJ is shooting 52% at power forward. I'm going to switch Zion to Power Forward and JJJ to center and see if Zion's shooting goes up and JJJ goes down at allFlaming Homer wrote: ↑Tue Jul 26, 2022 12:07 pm After the release of the first beta version there were complains in the first access forum that, especially for guards, post scoring is too dominant. Re: DDS22 Testing/Bug Thread
Higher shotblocking is affecting FG% big time. Defense, rim protection and steals are once again valuable.
I do think blocking went up a bit too much, but this is a league where almost every top scorer is looking to drive all the time. When you have decent shot blockers again, this naturally happens

Re: DDS22 Testing/Bug Thread
I think the blk buff(un-nerf) is good in the long run. I do find it very weird how they were buffed.
An 84 blocker passes an 85 blocker after the buff
and
going from 90 to 95 is far more valuable than going from 50 to 55. They are not equal.
Using a flat increase would prob lead to better results. An example
90+ = +2
85+ = +3
and so on
80 4
70 5
20 to 69 = +6

Re: DDS22 Testing/Bug Thread
I forgot how I Installed dds19 on my computer. I purchased this game on steam a few weeks back and trying to install it and upload. I'm not a computer guy so I need step by step directions.
I remember Myles and JM did a video on this two years ago for both steam and wolverine.
Anyone that downloaded steam and can help?
Thanks

In the HTML version, if I click on Troy Brown it opens a player page for Trenton Brown.

Re: DDS22 Testing/Bug Thread
Are we 100% sure shooting ratings, prefs and floor ranges are working like they should? Admins, can you test run a season? Because FG%s are crashing more and more for all my guys (and across leagues) and we are ranked as one of the better shooting teams inside. I really don’t think it’s the sample size anymore as we are like 15 games in.
I Tested several strats and line ups as well.

It seems preference work hurt some players in the translation. *Cough* Zion Williamson *Cough*
I think this is a small sample size though. Let's see how the season starts and go from there. We can always fix what isn't right.
I appreciate this league and the hard work you guys put into it.
Thanks

10 games is not a large enough sample. Not even 20.

Re: DDS22 Testing/Bug Thread
That’s true if you go by 1 player. The amount of players impacted *15 is a huge Sample. Unless you are saying it’s normal that 80% ofPG,SG, SF are starting cold to the season after 15 games.

Search for a file named Multiplayer in your PC. This Multiplayer file will have the same adress as the saves file.
All you need to do is find the adress and then favorite it.

Re: DDS22 Testing/Bug Thread
I think I just installed the game somehow and uploaded my tem.
But my question is, why is this games depth chart layout very confusing, compared to 19. I liked it better when you could have a whole page with each quarter(1-4)
Any way to change it back to that layout or just stuck with the red and green "buttons."
And how do I make a player multi-position for example, SG/SF. I don't see that option.
Thanks
