** Salary Cap Incremental **
Why salary cap is fixed in this league? can you shed light on why you opted like that.
I suggest the salary cap to increase on yearly basis, 3-5%. This will add more competition in the FA signing and brings the salary more in-line with real NBA salaries.

Re: DDS19 Stupid Questions Thread
We used to operate like this, but it resulted in bloated contracts and allowed the good teams to get better. We set a hard cap limit at $90 million to force GMs to be more calculated in the contracts they offer and make the league more competitive.Camden wrote: ↑Tue Oct 20, 2020 1:55 pm ** Salary Cap Incremental **

How can I download all players database rating + stats as json files or HTML so I can make my own analysis of players and teams?

Re: DDS19 Stupid Questions Thread
Idk how to do it from the game, but I’ve had a running script that scrapes this html site and inputs it into R. If you know R I’m happy to share my script

Re: DDS19 Stupid Questions Thread
Yeah you can't do it from in-game *shakes fist at Gary*, so if you want ball actions and stuff you have to do it manually. As Lucas mentioned, scraping HTML (I use Python personally) or just copy pasting into excel is your best bet.

Or if any of you guys let it run lately, you could post it haha. But yeah, no pots or actions and stuff. So not worth too much.

Re: DDS19 Stupid Questions Thread
Why is everyone dropping the weight of the big guys? Wasn't that critical in DDS3 - why such urgency in 19? What's different?

Re: DDS19 Stupid Questions Thread
Weight was more crucial in DDS3 as the drives faced dropped a lot in the change.

Re: DDS19 Stupid Questions Thread
Can't speak for everyone else but when the blk/stl ratings were nerfed, KAT's drive stop % tanked. It went from somewhre in the 80s to about 60 last year, and I want him to be more versatile and play more minutes at the 4, maybe even some 3.

Re: DDS19 Stupid Questions Thread
I don't actually know that anyone is 100% sure that dropping the weight of bigs helps that much in this engine (actually who am I kidding), but looking at the bigs who really dominated this past season their weights were kind of all over the place.
I focus more of the guards/wings, but it does seem like some others are dropping their bigs. My thought is to play the long game because the newer versions seem to have a different algorithm and I don't want my players too screwed up for the next transition by being at an odd weight for their position.

Re: DDS19 Stupid Questions Thread
Thanks All,
Agree here that the number of drives has been reduced dramatically and also it now seems to be more dependent on your defensive philosophy perhaps?
I see Ayton who is an excellent defender and not particularly bulky at 7'0/240 is stopping 16% of drives. Even the great AD only stops 23%. Drummond stops 42% at 6'11/279. Perhaps weight is not as big of a factor anymore for the purposes of stopping drives?

Re: DDS19 Stupid Questions Thread
Stopping drives as bigs is fairly unimportant imo. It’s like 2 drives per big per game.
