Beginning of season FA signings

Are we doing straight up first come first serve? Because it's my understanding that at the beginning of new seasons and when a player is first released, it's done on a best fit basis.

It's not first come first serve.

If a bid on a player is uncontested, the team will automatically sign that player. If one or more teams hid on the same player, the agencies will make a decision on where the player will sign.

It's explained in the announcement thread, but I'm on my phone right now so that's my limited explanation

Yes. As long as the player has not been signed and the topic locked, he may be bid on.

Except it was signed and locked after two hours. That's the point that I was making Jake.
