I've bought 3 different versions of OOTP and while it is an amazing sim, I just don't play it enough to be worth getting. The only way I play sim games now is through online leagues and OOTP leagues are just too intense for me. The pace is torrid, the action (trades, sims, free agency, draft, etc.) is impossible to keep up with and is basically a part-time job to be a legit GM in one of those leagues.

Great game, just not for me.

Most of this is spot on, if your like most of us you want total control including minors and rookie league teams for your franchise. but if that's too much I know some guys who who the AI for most everything in their farm systemand just keep a close eye on a couple prospects they like.

Do a search for sliders/settings because out of the box, things can be really annoying in terms of lack of realism and the AI’s moronity.

Biggest issue I have at the mo is that my pictures are always tired any tips for that would be welcome! They last like 30 pitches before they get exhausted.
