DDS22 File Updates (V1)
Okay, so the OFFICIAL pre-season file has been released and is in the league dropbox. NOTE: This does not have all of the picks up to date, but that will be updated ahead of the regular season in addition to the historical stats.
Due to some differences between DDS19 and DDS22, we did make some changes to certain ratings, but they were overall limited. The goal for these changes is to improve defensive impact and limit some of the overpowered ratings that have changes from 19 to 22. Please see the changes below:
1. The STL ratings has been increased 5% globally for all players. This was a change we made going into DDS19 that we wanted to revert to increase the impact that defenders have in the engine.
2. The BLK rating was increased using a tiered approach (see below). This was done for the same reasons as the change to item 1. This was done at a tiered level so that the high blocking individuals would not have unrealistic BLK totals.
Current BLK Rating:
> 85: 5% increase
65-84: 8% increase
45-64: 10% increase
<45: 15% increase
3. The SCR and PAS ratings were decreased slightly at the top end using a similar tiered approach (see below) to item 2. This was done due to the slight increase in power that these ratings have in the new engine. All values were rounded UP using this method (i.e. if a player went from 93 to 87.4 the SCR rating would be 88).
Current SCR+PAS Rating:
> 170: 5% decrease for BOTH ratings
> 160: 3% decrease for BOTH ratings
4. The SCR rating was decreased slightly at the top end using a similar tiered approach (see below) to items 2 and 3. This was done for the same reasons as item 3 and all values were also rounded UP.
NOTE: If there was a decrease in SCR during item 3, then an additional decrease would not occur for this change.
Current SCR Rating:
> 90: 5% decrease
85-89: 3% decrease
5. The 20 MAX philosophy rule will be removed moving forward. We reserve the right to re-implement this change, but would like to allow teams to counteract the high-powered offensive teams and do not see this as overpowered as it was in previous versions.
6. Two-Way Contracts will be allowed in this engine, but will work as follows:
- Each team can sign two (2) eligible players to two-way contracts. These contracts have a value of $75,000 dollars (make sure you have the CAP) and will place these players on your D-League roster which you will hold the rights to.
- You can promote these players at any time during the season, but once you do that their contract becomes fully guaranteed at the veteran minimum and they CANNOT be sent back down to their previous salary.
That is it for the transition piece. All other ratings were untouched and they will be released ahead of the regular season. If you would like to refer to player potentials, you can still use the DDS19 file or reach out to Andre or myself.
Thank you all again for your patience with this and we hope you enjoy the new game as much as we think you will!

The steals nerf hurt me so bad last engine that preseason my defense was insane then just dropped off a cliff. Wish I had that defense back LOL

Thank you for all the hard work!!! Can't wait to see it in action
One thing I noticed in Houston is that Muhammad-Ali Abdur-Rahkman is missing from my page and was replaced by Jacob Wiley who is not supposed to be on my team.

Thanks for the hard work admin team! The league has modernized it's engine pretty quickly relative to the time since I joined, and I hope the new engine doesn't disappoint.

Re: DDS22 File Updates (PLEASE READ)
Of course we need way more sample but early games shows shot blocking went up a bit too high...
Seems like DRFL is a bit too high as well.

Agreed with shot blocking. Anyone 80 or above should be fixed. Very unrealisticMarcos_Beck wrote: ↑Mon Jul 25, 2022 11:01 pm Of course we need way more sample but early games shows shot blocking went up a bit too high...
