Good stuff, will finish listening it later. I agree with what most of what you guys said about NOP getting the right fitting pieces to go for it despite some criticisms.
I think Detroit got great value out of the Moody deal too. I do think Marcos can fix him up though.

Sadly just 2 parts. I focused on the bigger trades close to the deadline.
I've made strides in my editing game, but I could've done better with the abrupt ending to part 1. Just ran out of time and wanted to get it out. Spent all my editing time allotment on the intro/outro lolTheTwoWallaces wrote: ↑Thu Aug 14, 2025 7:00 pm It cut off in the middle of discussing my deals lol

Awesome job guys, really missed that.
Also, could not disagree with any of your opinions.
Bottom line, all the teams got the return they were looking for and helps the teams in the I r individual situation.
As always (or mostly) with trades, the outcome will be clear down the road.
Can't wait for part two!

Always enjoy listening to these podcasts. Man, i thought this was a relatively quiet trade deadline, obviously i did not paid attention that much lol
Missing my touches in trades as i did not get any deadline deals, sadly. Anyway, looking forward to the part 2. Great job, Doug and Marcos!

I love these podcasts, and you both have great chemistry! Very interesting to listen to, Marcos has a very interesting perspective when it comes to trades and I like his style of GM'ing, and Doug is the complete opposite in his approach to team building but both are effective and have their own strengths and weaknesses. I feel like everyone else falls in the middle between mass trading and roster stability. As for all the picks Marcos now has I predict they will be moved for win now talent this offseason. I predict Doug makes a finals run and could win it all with his outside shooting and overall play.

Finally got a chance to listen to this one (second one to come still) but have to echo the above, absolutely love these. I had it playing back on a drive and it felt like I was listening to a sports station with a recap of events haha. Doug has a great hosting voice and Marcos works really well with his insights. If I had the time, I'd love to take part myself but maybe another day.
It would be work but I can imagine a round table a couple of weeks before the deadline discussing potential deals or deals teams could/should make. Could entice more trades at the deadline although this deadline didn't seem to suffer too much
Really intrigued by Houston and Detroit. The complete turnover in Houston but trading their own pick so they're choosing to try win so will be interesting to see how that plays out. Detroit were going well so is tampering with the lineup going to cost them? Could even improve them I guess as they're deep in the post and might be able to cover Tillman.
Love it Doug and Marcos, really awesome and enjoyable
