With the 50th pick in the 2035 draft the Washington Wizards select center Jalen Lewis.



Lewis, 19, is actually joining the Milwaukee Bucks as part of the Anthony Edwards deal that sees Markelle Fultz, Isaiah Roby and Ryan Dunn join the Wizards, although Fultz is expected to end up in Houston.

At 6'10" and 223 lbs, Lewis is a young athletic prospect with room to grow into a solid pro basketball player. He has a very soft touch near the rim and his shooting range extends to the three-point line. While not a scorer, there is a chance that he can become more assertive as he gains experience.

On defense he shines on the defensive boards, where he has great positioning to outrebound bigger players. He knows how to avoid unnecessary fouls and has shown glimpses of being a good help defender.

There's some good offensive talent here in the post, and he can stretch out and hit some perimeter shots, but they probably shouldn't be a huge part of his shot diet, as he deserves to play in the post as much as possible. Lewis also rebounds well defensively, but has real issues defensively and will not be passing or handling the ball much.
