To ALL TEAMS STILL NEEDING A COACH

If you need a coach (according to the coaching budget spreadsheet), regardless of what position, please PM me your list of bids. You may include backup bids as well so that way if you don't get your first choice of head coach, you have a second or third bid in there so you can still hire a coach.
I will make sure the Simmer takes care of the coaching situation the sim. He's informed me that he will not be simming for another 15 hours or so, so that should give all GMs ample time to get in their bids.
Remember, send your list to ME so I can organize it for The Simmer in time for the sim.

Sounds good to me. Can we make a sweeping declaration that no sneaky bids will be accepted (i.e. $1,000,001). Maybe the bids have to be in $50,000 increments or something.

Good call. All bids must be made in $50,000 increments (must end in either 00,000.00 or 50,000.00).

Myles, are you first going to look at everyone's #1 choice before looking at the bid amount?
For example, here's a scenario:
GM#1: 1st Choice - Coach A (3 mill), 2nd Choice - Coach B (3 mill)
GM#2: 1st Choice - Coach A (4 mill), 2nd Choice - Coach B (4 mill)
GM#3: 1st Choice - Coach B (2 mill), 2nd Choice - Coach A (2 mill)
So in this scenario, GM#2 would get Coach A because he outbid GM#1 for him. Therefore, GM#1 must go on to his 2nd choice: Coach B. My clarification question is: does GM#3 still get Coach B over GM#1 even though he bid less since GM#3 had him as the 1st choice (as opposed to GM#1's 2nd choice)?
I'm thinking the answer has to be yes otherwise a lot would depend on which coach you sort out first, but just wanted to get your thoughts on the matter.

GreenBear, that's correct. $$ amount will trump order of preference.

Yeah you are all good to go, you can check the coaches budget spreadsheet to see if you have any openings (which you only would if you fired someone).

Can I rescind my firing of Michael Malone if I choose to? This is becoming a lot of work and I must just ride out the year with him and worry about coaches during coach free agency.

You can rehire him, and his contract won't double count, so it will only be on your books once. It's essentially the same thing, but with him able to sign with another team.
