2028 Season Awards - LEAGUE VOTED
Thanks to everyone for participating! 26 GM's voted this year.
*Note: 5 points given to a 1st place vote, 3 points given to a 2nd place vote, and 1 point given to a 3rd place vote. First place votes are in parentheses.
Additionally, only those selections who received a First Place vote (OR) at least 10 total points are displayed below.
MVP
Winner: Luka Doncic, DAL - 106 pts (19)
Runner Up: Zion Williamson, NY - 37 pts (2)
3rd place: Ben Simmons, MIA - 28 pts (1)
Others receiving first place votes or at least 10 total points: Michael Porter, SAC - 17 pts (0), DeAaron Fox, BOS - 16 pts (2), DeAndre Ayton, BRK - 13 (1), Kyle Kuzma, MIA 5 (1)
Notes: No question who the league thinks is this years MVP, Doncic just finished a season for the ages and dominated the league like no one before. Last year winner Zion could still snatch some votes but he has to practice hard over the summer to give Luka a run for his money next year.
DPoY
Winner: DeAndre Ayton, BRK - 81 pts (14)
Runner Up: Justice Winslow, HOU - 29 pts (3)
3rd place: Rui Hachimura, LAL - 27 pts (3)
Others receiving first place votes or at least 10 total points: Lonzo Ball, PHI - 26 (1), Kaiser Gates, DET - 21 (1), Matisse Thybulle, SAC - 19 (2), Christ Koumadje, MIN - 13 (1), Hassan Whiteside, BOS - 6 (1)
Notes: Ayton grabs the award now the 3rd time in a row, impressive. But he is a force of nature on the defensive side. I think Rui, Kaiser and also Thybulle may have the best chances to challenge him over the next years.
Rookie of the Year
Winner: Sekou Doumbouya, MEM -117 pts (21)
Runner Up: JaKeenan Gant, SAS - 72 pts (4)
3rd place: Romeo Langford, CLE - 13 pts (1)
Others receiving first place votes or at least 10 total points: Jalen Adams, MEM - 5 (1)
Notes: After Culver last year, Memphis again is featuring the rookie of the year. Just one sign what to expect from this team going forward. Doom dominated this vote and there was no question who takes the trophy home.
Most Improved Player
Winner: Jordan McLaughlin, WAS - 75 pts (12)
Runner Up: Jarrett Culver, MEM - 43 pts (6)
3rd place: Luka Doncic, DAL - 35 pts (4)
Others receiving first place votes or at least 10 total points: Devonte Graham, SAS - 25 (2), Dzanan Musa, MIN - 23 (0), Laurynas Birutis, POR - 17 (1) , Hamidou Diallo, POR - 7 (1).
Notes: What a season for Jordan McLaughlin and who would have expected that from the young Wizzards guard ... Also quite interesting that Culver, after winning RoY last year, still finishes second in MIP! Similar with Doncic who was a MVP candidate last season and still made a leap this year.
6th Man of the Year
Winner: Malik Monk, HOU - 71 pts (12)
Runner Up: Isaiah Austin, BKN - 51 pts (5)
3rd place: Justise Winslow, HOU - 28 pts (3)
Others receiving first place votes or at least 10 total points: Collin Sexton, TOR - 21 (3), Ivan Rabb, DET - 20 (1), Lindell Wigginton, BOS - 18 (1) , Malik Beasley, ATL - 5 (1).
Notes: Two Houston player in the top 3 shows how much Kyrus is changing his lineup during the season. And having Monk, a legit star in the league, competing for 6th man shows how talented that roster is. Kudos to Isaac Austin who shows that even at this age players can perform well and help teams win.
GM of the Year
Winner: andrei - 45 pts (5)
Runner Up: AlexS - 30 pts (2)
3rd place: Dennis - 29 pts (5)
Others receiving first place votes or at least 10 total points: mtgr1 - 28 (5), Ramcus - 22 (1), Sharkn20 - 22 (3), bt - 12 (1), Stockton12 - 8 (1), OneNole - 7 (1), hardenwithnod - 6 (1), WillyJakkz - 5 (1)
Notes: Congrats to Andrei for getting the GM o the year award. Well deserved looking at the job he did building this young Memphis team. Alex finishes second, another young team with a steady and smart GM. Dennis comes in third and the roster he built just proved it is championship material. Not to forget, Willy gets a first place vote
Coach of the Year
Winner: Sharkn20 - 48 pts (7)
Runner Up: Dennis- 46 pts (8)
3rd place: andrei - 34 pts (2)
Others receiving first place votes or at least 10 total points: mgtr81 - 23 (1), Marcos Beck - 19 (2), AlexS - 14 (2), Silogical - 13 (0), emplep7 - 8 (1), bt - 6 (1), Ocons - 5 (1)
Notes: Cesar and Dennis in a competition like the finals. In the Coach of the year award Cesar comes out on top. Congrats, that was as close as it can be. Andrei comes in 3rd with his Memphis team playing well ahead schedule. Also here to mention Kevin with a first place vote, well done
Congrats to all of the winners this year and overall on another successful season on the wild ride that is the CSL!
Thanks again to everyone for voting!

Congrats to all the winners, especially Andrei and Cesar!
No surprise for MVP, but whoever voted Kuz for 1st place in MVP voting should have their voting rights revoked.
Also, no love for Gates on DPOtY is just disrespectful.

Re: 2028 Season Awards - LEAGUE VOTED
Congrats to the winners!
Monk just did better from the bench last season, my theory is that certain archetypes of players get minor boosts if they play off the bench and that our starting lineup of Livingston/Reed/Dotson/KAT and either MKG or Davis just worked for us all year, presumably that it got KAT going early on in games. So I'm happy to see Monk win 6MOY like he's Manu Ginobili or something.
Idk what Winslow needs to do in order to win DPOY. He's been 2nd or 3rd for a few years now
