Bulls welcomes AD back

The long awaited return of Anthony Davis to the team he brought a title in 2025 CSL Season is about to transpire a couple of days from now. Yes, the former MVP will be doning the Bulls jersey once again and hopefully until he retires as he leaves Los Angeles following a deal that also includes fellow Clippers Josh Davis, Gary Trent, Aubrey Dawkins, Omari Spellman, and Angel Delgado.

In return, the Chicago Bulls sent regulars Isaiah Whitehead, Marquese Chriss, Rashad Vaughn, and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope to the Clippers that also sending its 2030 1st round pick.

"It's a calculated move and we've thought about this thoroughly before pulling up this trade. We're still in the beginning of a rebuild with Patrick Williams, Precious Achiuwa, and Jaylen Morris as the cornerstones. We've yet to get a Franchise material blue chip prospect and hopefully soon it comes. We have our pick this year protected so most likely we'll get it back and add another lottery pick. We still have the Knicks 1st this year, Clips 2030 1st and we're also getting another pick in another deal to continue the rebuild. The rebuild could span for about 5 years or less if we get lucky. But for the meantime, we are trying to compete with Terry and now AD. We have nothing to lose but so much to gain in case this move goes well beyond expectations." wrote GM Rox.

Excellent move IMO.
I thought you were about to give up some key pieces for the pick, but only some role players were lost. I’d have done that same deal for AD without the pick if I were you. Getting the pick made it a great value.

Make that 2. Getting this pick is worth to move some cap space forward.
The Clippers get some useful role players to add some depth and try to right the chip but getting another potential great 1st for the Bulls is a good move.
And maybe AD can add some wins for this season as well,

It was a good deal, as getting a future 1st will definitely help with your rebuiid.

I personally love the move. I'm not big on Whitehead, and you get rid of Vaughan's contract. Chriss is a nice player but he'll be an FA. You're also focusing on your young rookies who have cheap term, so the AD contract length doesn't hurt you too much. Great job.
