Studly Defensive Veteran Will Not Play For Portland Next Year

One of the CSL's best defenders is changing uniforms

Word leaked out of Portland that Joe Ingles will be verballed soon. The front office has the basic details in place on an offer that they like - one that offers an opportunity to both get younger and the potential for a slight retool if the Blazers opt not to deal franchise star Marcus Smart.

According to an anonymous Blazers source, "We're giving it another day or two for final offers to blow us away, but we think this is a trade that benefits both teams in their objectives. While we weren't looking necessarily looking for a deal that offers a small retool, should this trade happen, it keeps that option in play."

I've been after Ingles since the good old Cleasby days. Got close with him. Finally got a deal done with one of the GMs but he disappeared and then it never happened again.

Interested to see what he commands now that he's gonna be 32 already.
