2033 All-Star Rosters Announced (League Voted)
Thanks to all who voted as we had just 18 GMs vote in this years ASG.
The All Star game will be run this Weekend (probably Saturday 02/08).
We switched things up this year and allowed GMs to vote for players in both conferences, unlike the past few seasons.
Coaches - Based on team record at time of DDS ASG
East - rhoxxy (Philadelphia 76ers)
West - bt (Sacramento Kings)
As a reminder, the DC rules are:
- max 28 min/player
- the pace has to be set to max
Below are the rosters for the game:
EAST
Starters - total votes (1st place votes):
Guard - Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (BKN) - 44 (8)
Guard- Donovan Mitchell (PHI) - 56 (10)
F/C - Luka Doncic (NY) - 78 (15)
F/C - DeAndre Ayton (BKN) - 74 (13)
F/C - Nikola Jovic (CHA) - 59 (10)
Reserves:
Guard - Troy Brown (MIL) - 42 (7)
Guard - Malik Monk (PHI) - 40 (4)
F/C - Michael Porter Jr (CLE) - 59 (7)
F/C - Karl Anthony Towns (IND) - 45 (2)
F/C - RJ Barrett (CHI) - 25 (1)
Wildcards:
Guard - LaMelo Ball (ATL) - 32 (3)
Guard - Josh Giddey (ORL) - 21 (0)
Others receiving votes (at least 10 total points and/or first place votes): Xavier Tillman (DET) - 19 (2), Ky Bowman (WAS) - 18 (2), Davion Mitchell (PHI) - 17 (1), DeAaron Fox (BOS) - 16 (1), Grant Williams (MIL) - 15 (0), Jaren Jackson Jr (CHI) - 14 (2), Christ Koumadjie (MIA) - 11 (0), Kyle Kuzma (CLE) - 5 (1), Skal Labissiere (BOS) - 5 (1)
For the East, we see three returning starters from last season in Doncic, SGA, and Ayton. Despite the Nets not performing that well, they receive 2 starters again. Joining them in the starting lineup will be Mitchell, as well as young star Nikola Jovic who replaces Michael Porter from last seasons lineup. Both Jovic and Porter received 59 total votes, but Jovic received more first place votes giving him the edge. One interesting note of this lineup is that the wildcards are Ball and Giddey, whom were traded for each other earlier this season.
WEST
Starters:
Guard - Jarrett Culver (MEM) - 68 (13)
Guard - Frank Ntilikina (DEN) - 51 (7)
F/C - Bruno Fernando (MEM) - 54 (6)
F/C - Zion Williamson (DAL) - 75 (15)
F/C - Kofi Cockburn (SAC) - 74 (13)
Reserves:
Guard - Matisse Thybulle (SAC) - 43 (6)
Guard - Lonzo Ball (DAL) - 34 (3)
F/C - Ben Simmons (MIN) - 54 (6)
F/C - Alex Antetokounmpo (SAS) - 39 (2)
F/C - Alen Smailagic (PHX) - 23 (1)
Wildcards:
Guard - Anfernee Simons - (NOP) - 20 (1)
Forward - Bol Bol (MIN) - 19 (3)
Others receiving votes (at least 10 total points and/or first place votes): Viny Okouo (UTA) - 14 (0), Kaiser Gates (HOU) - 12 (1), Tyrese Maxey (NOP) - 12 (1), Victor Wembanyama (NOP) - 8 (1), Markelle Fultz (POR) - 8 (1), Immanuel Quickley (LAL) - 7 (1), Dalen Terry (POR) - 5 (1), Darius Garland (SAC) - 5 (1), Dedric Lawson (HOU) - 5 (1), Moritz Wagner (LAL) - 5 (1)
In the West, we also see three returning starters in Zion, Culver and Fernando. There was a tie between Fernando and Ben Simmons, but a randomized draw gave Fernando the start. Thybulle will lead the bench, and young phenom Alex Antetokounmpo will also make an appearance this year.
Congratulations to all of the leagues representatives and good luck in the ASG!

Lame that SGA and Ayton are starters. I personally don't vote for GM-less players.

Stiff competition in the guard spots. Pleasantly surprised to see Simons make it

For the East, SGA doesn’t deserve it this year, having a career worst year. Robert Williams deserves it much more than SGA. Fox and Grant Williams got snubbed hard. I don’t think Lamelo deserves it either, as he’s been floating between starter/bench for the Hawks. If anything Reggie Perry/Naji Marshall should be representing the Hawks.
For the West Okuno got snubbed. He should’ve been in over Bol Bol. Everything else looks alright on that side tho. Thubulle was a starter for me over Frank N, but you can make a case either way.

This team is garbage.

Yeah Viny probably deserves it based on his time with the Jazz. He's been putting up big numbers and on defense too. Smail is on a bad team, but you still can't argue his offensive production. Could be a bit more efficient, but a solid PER at 31.6.Stockton12 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 05, 2025 9:07 pmright on mate okouo should have been in maybe over smail thouhardenwithnod wrote: ↑Wed Feb 05, 2025 8:59 pm For the East, SGA doesn’t deserve it this year, having a career worst year. Bad defense + bad team prevents Smailagic from being an All-Star in my opinion. I prefer to give those votes to guys like Gates and Davion Mitchell who are obviously contributing immensely to winning basketball even if they're not putting up 25ppg.

My apologies for not voting this season. Last two weeks have been extremely busy and didn't have the time to even check.
