Murray Back in Naptown
The Pacers' number one offseason priority was resigning Jamal Murray. It took a four-year deal starting at $8.5 million, but the team and the player are satisfied. Murray provides much needed shooting and is expected to be the team's second leading scorer.

I think that’s a solid deal for another underrated player. I’m a big Murray fan but he’s still 28 and has really good ratings.

For future reference, something this short goes in the Wiretap section.
Although I don't like Murray - his efficiency is questionable for mine - you got him on an excellent contract that went a long way to stabilizing your cap situation

Hands down best dollar per production in FA this year. Murray can be really awesome as a scorer if used properly! Good luck with him!

Yea, I'm shocked he went so cheap. I thought for sure he would go 13m+
I think he could be good but has misused his last few years

That was an excellent deal for you, as I expected him to have many more suitors that would offer him a bigger deal. Well done sneaking this in!

Re: Murray Back in Naptown
Thanks, all. It was largely a byproduct of not having many options so I could focus. I really didn't want a PO on the deal, so I abandoned the TO and gave Bird max raises to avoid that.
Plus, Murray gets dibs on all the shots and he's surrounded by plus defenders. Seems like a good ecosystem for him!
