The 2027 Free Agent Class - Unrestricted
Like last year the URFA class is much less talented as the RFA class. But since we just had the redraft 2023 discussion I decided to do the unregistered FA and maybe I can find enough time to do the RFA later.
This year it will be hard to find some gems at guard. The class has some depth at SF and some talent at PF but the best player available is C Kristaps Porzingis. Add Hassan Whiteside and Myles Turner and it looks C is where the best talent is.
I did again a quick check how the cap space situation could look, just see below.
Here is the overview: https://www.keep-at-it.de/images/csl/27/urfa-2027.html
Amount of max cap if teams decline/renounce all their FA and TO.
This number will not be this high for most of the teams, since only a few teams would want to renounce all his FA. But some teams could and maybe will.
Player options and picks are not considered.

Re: The 2027 Free Agent Class - Unrestricted
Some very interesting players this year in the unrestricted free agent pool. The key will be what teams with cap space decide to do: pursue RFAs unlikely to move away from their teams or the more realistic players on this list.

WCS is basically a shell of his former self. Not sure if I even want to bring him back after another -3 in his ratings

definitely some interesting names. Wow, we have space for 3 max RFA deals. Plenty of cap to throw around but also 7 picks in the upcoming draft. But I suspect at least half of them will be traded so may go after a couple of FAs
Congrats to season 16 ASL champion SoulKey. For the Swarm!

Great article.
It's nuts that the Bucks could have so much cap space yet are a top 3 team this season. I know they have Middleton and his unrenounced contract will eat into that but that's great work by Manu.

Re: The 2027 Free Agent Class - Unrestricted
Some decent players here who are in their prime, so a rich 4 year contract isn't too risky for teams with cap. Should see lots of interest in KP, Middleton, and Draymond

Re: The 2027 Free Agent Class - Unrestricted
Probably one of the more stacked UFA classes we have seen in a long time with legitimate franchise changers on the list. The RFA class should be strong too and with some teams having the potential to have big time money available its going to be a crazy free agency.
I can't wait to hear all of the comments from Kevin this year.
