W vs. LAC

We matched up against our old team and our defense shut down the up and coming Clips.

Okafor: 26/9 w/ 2 stls
Joseph: 25/1/4 w/ 1 stl
Bell: 12/11/4 w/ 1 stl & 1 blk

Our offense by committee seems to be working but our defense is the real calling card and identity of this team.

Philadelphia 76ers - 99

Jabari Parker - 28 pts, 6 reb
Al Horford - 20 pts, 12 reb, 1 stl, 3 blk
Adreian Payne - 19 pts, 15 reb, 4 stl, 2 blk
Jabari Brown - 10 pts, 2 reb
Lonzo Ball - 6 pts, 2 reb, 13 ast, 1 blk

Brooklyn Nets - 108

Rashad Vaughn - 26 pts, 3 reb, 4 ast, 2 stl
Fred VanVleet - 15 pts (5-10 3PT)
Myles Turner - 14 pts, 7 reb, 2 ast, 3 stl, 1 blk
Tyler Ennis - 13 pts, 2 reb, 2 ast
Pascal Siakam - 11 pts, 14 reb, 4 blk
DeAndre Ayton - 10 pts, 5 reb, 4 blk

Solid, yet unspectacular, win over the 76ers at home. Our three-point shooting was the big difference in this one as we went 10-29 from deep compared to their 2-7. That +24 from beyond the arc was a game-changer. Some solid performances but our shooting has been sub-par the first two games of the season.

Off to a good start this season at 2-0. Had to give Tang a shot over Spanoulis as the latter was dealing with a sore hand. Elfrid really did a number on Jrue to the point I doubt he should play PG going forward. He's strictly a SG now. Oladipo did what I wanted and stopped what has been a trend in Cleveland of wings torching us over the years.

John Collins had an uneventful debut. I wanted to wait a bit on his preference work but I think I have enough scouting on him I might just start now. I need more from him but 7/3 while going 0-4 offers a bit of hope.

Good game NOLA. With no KAT, we put ourselves behind the 8-ball with a few too many turnovers, and didn't get enough for ourselves. Also basically all our offense came from 4 players, and Harden was inefficient. We mostly succeeded in taking the ball out of AD's and PG's hands, but The Others beat us.

Now Mika and Purvis add their names to the injury list. All very minor stuff, but still three injuries in two sims is mildly concerning.

All right we bring the first loss of the season behind us, and needed one game for it ...

The detailed stats look a bit better than the end result. But we turned the ball over a few times too much and also committed a few too many fouls.
Our defense has to be more effective too give us a better chance to overcome something like that.

Knicks score a huge upset win over Detroit

Lo with 20 points
Davis with 14 points 15 rebounds
Fultz 16 points on 5/8 shooting
JJJ with another good shooting 12 points 8 rebounds 2 blocks

Quarterman and Neto got in on the act from the bench

I really expected more from my team against Dallas. We end up losing by 4.

We really struggled to prevet Rose from scoring and we shot poorly as well.

Every great player has bad games. It's to be expected. If it happens next game, I might be a little worried.

Solid win against the Warriors, as our defense played very well that game. However, our offense wasn't doing too hot. We will continue to tweak with our strats/rotation.

San Antonio 94 at Oklahoma City 108

I guess I can't complain going 1-1 against the the past two CSL Champions... I really thought we could have won this game, and surprisingly most everyone on my team did pretty well against OKC. Bamba shut down Johnson and FrankyN neutralized BLedsoe, but Leonard flat out shut down Bertans and Klay was Klay. Overall really excited about the season outlook if we can survive the first part of the season. Our schedule is really loaded with the best teams in the front end of our year.

Key Individual Contributors:
Terry Rosier: 27 Points, 5 Rebounds, 4 Assists, 2 Steals
Montrezl Harrell: 24 Points, 11-14 FGM-A, 14 Reb in only 22 Minutes!!! Wish this guy would not have fouled out
Mo Bamba: 7 points, 7 rebounds, 5 blocks

Warriors on a 2 game slide to start the season.

Poor shooting night in general with the team only hitting 39.4% of their shots and going 1 for 10 from 3pt range. 17/17 from the free throw line is nice but still cannot preven the 11 point loss to the Wizards.
