Two nice road wins to bring us to 41-19. According to Phil Jackson, we are contenders!

112-104 win over the Clippers. Had to zone for my next game, so I gambled on zoning the Clippers, who could be a pretty good three-point shooting team, and they were in this one. Mario went bananas on us (40/6/4/4 on 17-31 shooting and 5-7 from three!) and Lawson had 22 of his own on 50% shooting from both the field and three. Luckily we held everyone else on the team below 10 points, and got a fantastic showing from Monk, and solid performances from Kemba, KAT, Aminu, and Mika.

Monk: 30 points, 4 assists, 10-19 FG, 8-16 3P
KAT: 22 points, 9 rebounds, 3 assists
Aminu: 14 points, 9 rebounds, 7-10 FG
Mika: 12 points, 4 rebounds, 6-10 FG (15 minutes)
Kemba: 11 points, 10 assists, 6 rebounds, 4-8 FG

-----

Followed that up with an 18-point win over the Suns, 116-98. We zoned hard and forced Taylor into an awful game (20 points on 7-23 FG). KAT and Monk were terrific. Only downside is Kemba picked up a 6 day injury and will probably miss our next couple games depending on what percentage he's at- this might be the first time of his entire CSL career, believe it or not.

KAT: 24 points, 15 rebounds, 3 blocks, 10-17 FG
Monk: 23 points, 5 assists, 8-15 FG, 7-13 3P
Kemba: 14 points, 7 assists, 6 rebounds

Tough loss to the Rockets, we stayed really competitive and responded to getting zoned very well. Given how we played recently, this was a really nice showing for us.

Hezonja was terrific, putting up 40, and putting him around some shooting (he even shot well himself going 5-7 from three), shows some serious potential. Hezonja's been coming into his own as a Clipper recently and I feel good about betting on him.

Cleveland Cavaliers - 105, Charlotte Hornets - 122

We keep playing so well and add another W to our record, this time against the Cavs at home. We're 5-2 in the last 7 games. The fact that Payton got injured after 4 minutes did help but we had a great game regardless. We recorded 9 blocks and shot over 50% for three.

W vs. NOP

Travis Wear got the start in place of Howard and had 29/11/1 w/ 1 stl & 4 blks on 12-18 shooting / 5-9 from the line.

Lauri Markkanen out 58 days.
Our season is officially over.

I’ve never seen something like that.
It’s been 11 different injuries since the Dame Lillard trade. Not even a month. 11 injuries. 3 big injuries.

It really takes away my joy to play. I don’t know what to say. It’s over for us. Time to set a DC and stay away from the league until offseason.

After one game with the changes made the Mavs cruised to a victory over the grizzlies. Paul George went off on a monster game to lead the way.

Picked up another W, 5 of the last 6. Kyrie with a nice triple double. Team really starting to click, only 7 games out. . .

Bro, that really sucks.
But hang on, Lillard and Allen are back in a few games. Crowder the next.
Hope you can somehow hang in.
But Lauri out for so long is really a blow :-(

We can take care of business in a home game over the Lakers. Our schedule was easy the last games, next up Boston.
Not exactly an easy game.

Potentially a thing related to "heavy tactics"?

We lost to the team of Mr bust.. that's a real shame! We did do well but just couldn't hit anything. You can't win like that.

Got a much needed win after dropping three in a row. We're playing around with lineups a little so we're sure to drop more but was good to see bounce back against a good team.

A convincing win over the injury ridden Pelicans. Rest does really help players in dds

Followed it up with a win over the Warriors. That was a big game for us, as the Warriors have had our number

Annoying. I think I have a lineup I like and Elfrid immediately gets injured for 7 days. We lose to Charlotte but beat GS? Wat?

I also need the Jazz to lose like 3 or 4 more games (sorry Kevin). Whew may the odds be in our favor on their long road trip. They still play OKC, Phoenix, Miami, Toronto, Detroit, Washington, Portland, Dallas, Denver, and Golden State. Just need them to go .500 which I took into account when I made the trade. It's gonna be close. Their heavy zone seems to be working for them now. Then I gotta pull for some lotto luck to snatch my target.

This month is gonna be interesting.

Brooklyn Nets - 105

Myles Turner - 26 pts, 9 reb, 2 ast, 1 stl
Rashad Vaughn - 21 pts, 5 reb, 1 blk
Malachi Richardson - 16 pts, 3 reb
DeAndre Ayton - 9 pts, 7 reb, 1 blk
D'Angelo Russell - 8 pts, 6 ast, 1 blk
Pascal Siakam - 8 pts, 13 reb, 3 ast, 1 blk

Boston Celtics - 102

DeAaron Fox - 25 pts (6-11 3PT), 4 reb, 4 ast
Ben McLemore - 19 pts (6-13 3PT), 1 stl, 1 blk
Skal Labissiere - 13 pts, 10 reb, 1 stl
Tristan Thompson - 12 pts, 12 reb, 1 stl, 1 blk
David Michineau - 10 pts, 5 ast, 1 stl

Ho hum, we beat the lowly Celtics. Just another game on the schedule...

But seriously, this was a much bigger win than one would realize. Not only is it against one of the league's elite on their home floor but it gave us an unexpected win in the middle of one of the toughest stretches on our entire schedule. This win was huge for us. It seems like when Rashad Vaughn is connecting from three we are a scary team and when he's cold we suck. It's just like when we had Mario Hezonja except Vaughn's shots are worth three points.

We need to find a way to get D'Angelo Russell going again. He had a hot stretch of about five games where he was averaging a double-double off the bench but lately he's been struggling mightily. Strong play from him would really go a long way towards solidifying our bench.
