Brooklyn Nets - 86

Myles Turner - 21 pts, 17 reb, 2 stl, 2 blk
Rashad Vaughn - 19 pts, 1 reb
Frank Jackson - 12 pts, 2 reb, 6 ast, 1 blk, 7 TO
Nicolas Batum - 11 pts, 1 reb

Boston Celtics - 113

DeAaron Fox - 37 pts, 4 reb, 4 ast, 5 stl
Aaron Gordon - 13 pts, 5 reb, 1 stl
Miles Bridges - 12 pts, 4 reb, 5 ast
Ben McLemore - 12 pts, 3 reb, 3 ast, 1 blk
Tristan Thompson - 12 pts, 6 reb, 2 ast, 2 stl
Skal Labissiere - 12 pts, 6 reb

We get absolutely obliterated to open the series against the Celtics. We shot just 40% from the floor compared to their 53% shooting. The turnover margin was heavy in their favor, 21-9, which I have to imagine led to many easy fast break layups for DeAaron Fox. Our heavy zone wasn't able to force him into much trouble as he shot 17/29 from the floor en route to his game-high 37 points. Back to the drawing board!

Cavs with a huge game 1 win! Meanwhile I was surprised at how poorly the Sixers performed. And wow, I did not expect Houston to blow out the Nuggets either.

In regards to our game, SJJ did his thing and helped foul out MKG and kept Carroll in foul trouble (although he still managed to post 49 minutes in this game. Not great that it took an OT to get through it, but we know its going to be tough and we always drop one at home. We need our bench to step it up as they had a pretty poor game overall, but happy with my starters.

Good first game BI.

L vs. DET

We struggled to contain SJJ and the Pistons led a balanced scoring attack. We had foul trouble and need to do a better job defensively if we want to have any shot of upsetting an Eastern Conference powerhouse. Joseph was tremendous with 38/2/6 w/ 1 stl & 1 blk.

GG Jon, hopefully we can steal one on the road next game.

Surprising to me how many blowout losses in game 1, I guess that will change in game 2 if the teams don't wanna get swept.
Besides of that only the Miami loss a surprise. Lets see how they react and if Silo can find a formula to win without Smith.

134-103 win over Denver. Feels nice to finally get a win against the team we struggled against more than any other in the regular season. In all three of those losses, Tatum and Drummond ran wild. They did no such thing in this game.

While Tatum did go 12-12 on FTs, he only finished with 16 points due to the combined efforts of Winslow, Harden, Bender, and Chriss all pretty much getting equal minutes guarding him. Drummond was limited to 10/4. Guler and Stone were also engaged in a brick war, and we got everything we wanted on offense. Turnovers and fouls were too high for my liking. We aren't going to shoot 53/57/82 every night, so we need to clean up the game plan some, but otherwise a terrific start to the series.

Monk: 35 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists, 11-18 FG/3P
KAT: 21 points, 9 rebounds, 9-15 FG
Harden: 20 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists, 7-10 FG (20 min)
Kemba: 17 points, 5 assists, 3-4 3P
Chriss: 16 points, 6 rebounds, 3 blocks, 6-11 FG

Disappointing first loss against the Phoenix Suns. Expected, but disappointed nonetheless. Taylor shot the lights out, and our team was ice cold, with Markkanen only taking 4 shots all game in 34 minutes of game time. In spite of Holiday's 32 minutes, Taylor destroyed his primary defender all game, dropping a scorching hot 42 points and nearly fouling out Holiday.

Ouch, Miami blew that game at home after leading by 18. Must win for them in Game 2.

Man, I was really looking forward to unleashing Russ and he fouls out in 16 minutes after Terry Rozier and his 36 draw foul rating go to the line 18 times somehow.

At least there's plenty of scope for improvement in that regard.

Many thanks for the screenshots of the box scores. Big help with the first playoff game bug thing.

But man, someone needs to update their face packs! :)

Haha this was my Windows drive running on my MacBook. I usually only use it to work on some programming and don’t really worry about graphics for these games on that drive. I will say it was tough to look at some of those faces lol.

New Orleans Pelicans - 103, Phoenix Suns - 123

PHX
Taylor - 42 pts (15-30 FGs, 11-13 FTs), 3 rebs
Okaro - 18 pts (9-15 FGs), 10 rebs, 7 stls
Beasley - 19 pts (5-5 3PAs), 6 rebs

NOP
Zubac - 16 pts (8-9 FGs), 5 rebs
Lillard - 18 pts (9-10 FTs), 8 asts, 4 rebs
Thompson - 15 pts (5-12 3PAs)

After sitting out down the stretch to ensure his health for the playoffs, Taylor re-entered the lineup and took the game over offensively with 42 points. Okaro deserves just as much credit with 18 points, 10 rebounds and 7 steals while shutting down Markkanen. Still, it's just 1 game that was played at home. A lot of work left to do.

I still can't understand why you traded Davies, basically you threw away any possibility to do anything in the playoffs, you were on fire and rising until you agreed to that trade man, everything has gone downhill since then. You were difficult to defend with him, now is basically easy to hard zone you as only Thompson is a 3 point shooter in ur lineup.
