Rookie ladder (Final)

1-4 The rookie of the year candidates. Bagley leads, but its close and voting could go for any of bagley, Tatum, Young, and Ayton. Ayton with only 24 minutes would be a long shot to win ROY. If you go by the NBA's way of determining ROY (adding up all counting stats. Lazy MFers) Bagley would lead with 23.1 tatum 2nd with 22.5 and Washington 3rd with 22.4

5. Mitchell sits 5th with only 11 minutes per game. The ladder tries to determine a players rank despite the number of minutes played, so in theory if Mitchell played 30 min/game he'd still sit 5th. However in practice playing only 11 minutes leads to a lot of variance so it is a mystery where Mitchell wouldve ended up if he played 28-30 minutes.

6-8. 6, 7, and 8 are 3 reliable and boring bigmen.

9. Frank Nico sits 9th. He had a rough start in the high pace high zone system, but San Antonio recently went away from those strats and Frank has made some major jumps up the ranks.

Mika has been solid this year. Got a lot more playing time than expected due to Patton going down after just 8 games but I really like what I've seen and think his biggest issues will be solved with preference work. He's gotta stop fouling though.

Also interested to know where Zak Irvin would have been on here if he qualified. How much of his ridiculous shooting percentages are being overshadowed by his complete disregard for defense and ball control?

Happy with what FrankyN has done over the past 6 - 8 weeks especially since moving him back to PG, and I am excited to see what he and Bamba can do next year..

Bam should be number 1, otherwise I mostly agree with these rankings. I would have loved to see Mitchell get some more PT for the Suns, but they have a similar player in Taylor already who is just a beast.

This is essentially a 3 horse race between Bagley, Tatum, and Young. Once the regular season concludes, I'll be publishing my own article about the RotY primer - there's some very interesting other stats to consider that will make this a coin-flip race despite the lazy consensus that it's Tatum because of scoring.

For the ROY race, it looks like a 3 way battle between Bagley, Tatum, and Young, nothing too surprising.
Big changes are coming in D.C.

Mo Wagner could easily been top 5 if he was not disregarded by the previous/lack of GM in Philly lol.

I missed zak, never heard of him until now. I included him and he has a 12.2 rating so he's an upper tier scrub. Not bad for undrafted. Sample size is tiny though at 322 minutes.

He's in good company.... Nice

It helps that he got off to a blistering start after I signed him around the deadline. Guy was shooting 70% for a while

Mitchell isn't playing as much for a couple reasons: one, we're very deep at the wings and haven't had any serious injuries there. Two, he's too heavy at the moment for this engine. It'll take him a couple years to get it where it needs to be, but he's going to get his minutes once that happens.

Caruso has been everything I was looking for when I drafted him. He didn't score very much, but he was a great backup point guard and he was very efficient with the shots he did take.
