Re: End of 2021 Season Podcast (with Gary, emplep7, and drumr)
nice podcast as always
good to see jonny on it despite his ridiculous hatred towards the eventual best player in the league in PorzingGod. But he can continue to support softside.
GM of the year I think its probably Chilis to lose with Rizzo being a dark horse contender. Many would have given up or thrown in the towel after losing their 2nd best player in Drummond and a quality player in Derozan but they were able to take advantage of a couple situations and has paid off big time for them.
Coach of the year would have to come down to Andrei of course, no one gets more out of an average team, even though when he had a quality team he seemed to struggle. Cleasby, whose team talentwise should have a record similar to Bostons but yet they could wind up with the 3rd best record in the entire league. And BI, whose team has the talent of a border line lotto team but yet they continue to play at a high level as well.
As Myles is aware, this is the first week I have ever watched a Marvel movie, so prior to this week I would have no idea who Stark would be. But I think I am a decent comparison.
I do agree with Jon as well as far as my thoughts on our chances at winning the title. Elite defense wins in this game and the elite teams had already hoarded the elite defenders prior to me getting to Dallas. We have acquired as good of defenders as we could, and we still have very very good ones (we are 4th in the league in PA) but come playoff time when teams maximize their minutes, we just don't have enough of them. So we are trying to counter that by having a lot of stars. While I do agree with Myles partially about our depth, I will disagree with this part. I have accumulated so many stars that if one fouls out or gets injured I have another one to pick up the slack where as if any other team loses a star they are probably finished. My most important player is probably Ibaka. But I would argue he has been a disappointment this year as numerous bigs have put up 20 points on him and stat wise, Davis has done just as well.

I think I addressed part of that when I said if Rose or Curry or George got injured, you can get past that. But if LeBron or Ibaka go down, that’s where I think you are screwed

Some other marvel characters for you all apologies for GM's rather than names on my phone so can't search forum names easily in same post
Thor - kings gm. Sits there quietly in season but has a big hammer ready for post season.
Daredevil - clippers gm. Looking in you must think the roster was constructed blindly but somehow that team has turned it on and become a playoff contender.
Red skull - Dallas gm. Has all this "advanced" weaponry and the myth of stars but somehow they have not won a title yet. Maybe Captain America had something to do with that
Magneto - boston gm - don't know how but lotto picks seems to stick to that franchise.
I'll have some more later :p haha

I'm not sure whether to be insulted or flattered haha.
Finally got a chance, listening to the podcast now. Really nice production value.
