Player Name Changes

Post by Rizzo »

To help add to the realism and immersion factor for everyone, we will allow name changes, but these will only take place under certain circumstances:
  • Inaugural year: you can change as many player names as you want on your current roster
  • Year 2 and Beyond @ Current School: you can change ONLY incoming freshmen you just recruited
  • First Year @ New School: you can change as many player names as you want on your current roster
To notify us of name changes, just reply to this thread with the school, player's current name and new desired name. For example:

Kentucky: Tayshaun Prince --> Adam Rizzo

- GM, Cleveland Cavaliers [2013-2018]
- GM, Brooklyn Nets [2018-2030, 2031-Present]

- 0 Coach of the Year Awards
- 0 GM of the Year Awards

Rizzo's Hall of Fame Players:

- SG P.J. Hairston [2015 CSL Draft, Pick 1.16]
- C DeAndre Ayton [2022 CSL Draft, Pick 1.3]

Any rules regarding the name change? Should we take recent players only or can I also bring legends (J.Kidd, K.Johnson for California)?

I am fine with that - we can always pick up random players pictures for the media section

It really is just for personal pleasure. I know I don't care too much about it but in my college football league I play as Hawaii. What I like to do is change the name of recruits from the state of Hawaii to more traditional Hawaiian names. It really is just for personal immersion factor.

Your team is not bad.

I was looking at 5 teams roster (California, Boston College, Florida State, UNLV, Dakota State) and trying to get a rate based on ratings (RAPTOR++ style).
You have 2 players in the top 5 (Willias and Jordan)

Tim seems to be the lucky guy with the best player who is only freshman : Alex Rawlings

Did not even install the game yet but assuming the ratings are similar to pro game. Also, I think its safe to assume that Dakota State players are crap

Great handling (58), decent passing (31), very disciplined (61) and high IQ (62).
He also has good athleticism (79).

Quite weird to see great with 58 compared to the pro game, but 58 is actually elite here

Tarrell Gely - freshman. I would give my best player for him to be honest (based on ratings)

Can't wait to see the RAPTOR++ ratings for all human teams. Will be fun to see how the players from the lower rated teams match up. I'm guessing that instead of a 70-30 ratings-stats split we may see something closer to 50-50, but I'll leave that to the expert.
