A disappointing defeat at Minnesota was followed by a big 4 point win at home to Illinois. The Big 10 is looking ridiculously close, with 7 teams tied on a 5-7 record, including Nebraska. This means we could finish anywhere between 6th and 3rd bottom in the conference, which would be a disaster season.
Kerry Drexler got 23 to continue his good season, and next up will be a huge trip to Penn State (5-7) followed by 4th seed Michigan and 7th seed Maryland. That makes Penn State a must win.
