All, please welcome Dejan (aka ozymandias) as the new GM of the Charlotte Hornets. This is Dejan's first sim league experience, but he has come over from RealGM and is a big basketball fan.

Welcome! Take your time! Dont rush into trades and also forget about the names of the players as ratings dont really match up to the NBA version

Welcome. And yeah, watch out for trades and how GM's try to sell you a trade.

But this is a great league which you should enjoy.

You're taking a team that's a bit of a crossroads - not quite win now, but you do have two pieces to build on for the future in Dunn and Kormaz. Also keep in mind that you don't have your 2023 1st, and are in one of the up and coming divisions in the league - Washington has established themselves as possible darkhorses for the East, Miami despite fucking up its draft picks has a deep young core, and Atlanta made the jump to at least mid-tier status. Basically you'll be fighting it out with Orlando for 4th in the division as it stands - best route is probably to go rebuild and explore assets for Beal and Capela. But be careful in who you talk to, and keep in mind there's a lot of GMs who will try to rip you off as a new joiner.

Thanks for the nice welcome. Hope we'll have a good time. I'm from Serbia and (unfortunately) a Sacramento Kings fan, but it seems like we're finally heading to the right direciton.

I never took part in sim leagues before but I'm really into fantasy sports. I ran a sort of soccer fantasy league combined with us actually playing soccer for a few years. I also have plenty of notebooks where I keep NBA and soccer stats. I'm focusing on NBA now, since soccer seems to be pretty boring at the momment (Neymar!).

Oh, and my nickname is actually a Watchmen reference but it's a Shelley reference in the comic so it's pretty much the same. Loved the poem as well, did it in college since I was English Literature major.
