This isn't for the Sim Team to decide, so I will post here.

The CBA states that the mother team has 48 hours from the time the Simmer posts the signing on the forums to post on the forum or PM the Simmer that they are matching the offer (June 17th, 01:54PM GMT). This has worked in the past and this is the first time a team has passed that deadline while actually wanting to match the offer so like always, we keep getting into new territory.

Unfortunately, the rules are in place for a reason and no matter the cause for being late, we can't let one GM get by without allowing ALL GMs to get by on every rule we have. I'm sure it was an honest mistake, but in this case we can't allow Sacramento to match the offer and Wood will sign with the Grizzlies.

If anyone has any questions or concerns about this decision, please take this up with me through PM.

But then the issue arises from the different sim times. It's easier to just set an alarm for when your 48 hours are up. I see both sides.
If the simmer sims before 48 hrs, you can sneak your match on the 3rd sim?
To answer your question...this is why it is 48 hours and not 2 sims. If the Sim Team decided to sim less than 48 hours between 2 sims that wouldn't be fair to the mother teams so 48 hours takes all of that out of the equation. As long as it is posted or sent to the simmer within 48 hours, the player will be matched.

Tough break for the Kings. But props for being a good sport as most of the league GM's would cry if such a thing happened to them.

Grizzlies just won the lottery without even winning the lottery haha. Wood is a beast

I dont think that's true, a deadline is a deadline. Complaining usually happens when a deadline is not kept, and its from one guy.

I mean a deadline is a deadline but just missing the deadline by a few minutes and losing a valuable piece to your team. A lot of GM's would complain and cry. We all have seen it too many times over something so stupid

Don't try to be cute and wait out the full 48 then.

Probably. He's about to blow up with the Grizzlies. Like 17-11 type stats. Dude is a rebounding monster and still only 23.

Yet he shoots 42% where pref work won't truly fix him.

Not the type of player I want

Just watch and see. Andrei will make the most out of him. If he can make Amir Johnson a 16-8 guy on 55% shooting what do you think he will do with Wood?

Only concern is with Randle and wood. Should be interesting to see how it goes with them playing together.

Daaaaamn. For sure I'd be one of the ones bitching and moaning but that's par for the course. That said, I wouldn't have waited as long or cut it so close. There's obvious reasons for that.

This is likely a blessing in disguise, though. Wood is NOT a max player at all. Still would have been nice to try and flip him in order to get something for him.
