With a win at Charlotte we match the number of wins of last season (and also the previous one). At least there has been some improvement (far from expectations, though). I'll try to find some time for the league and see if this team can improve more.

1-1 sim - we're not playing too bad. I'm impressed by our rookies in particular
So what do you expect when you draft Grabby McHolderson to play your right tackle?

Playoff streak had to end sometime. I'm glad it's in a season where the damn near every Easterm team is above .500. We had a damn good run with multiple Finals appearances. I just don't think Dipo will make it back in time for a push and we've lost at least 6 or 7 games now by less than 5 points. Our margin for victory was just too small, but I'll keep team in a competitive mode to be fair to the teams fighting to get in. Good luck teams reaching the POs for the first time.

Brooklyn Nets - 115

Rashad Vaughn - 31 pts (7-12 3PT), 2 ast, 3 blk
Pascal Siakam - 16 pts, 13 reb, 1 stl
Frank Jackson - 15 pts, 3 reb, 9 ast, 1 stl
Malachi Richardson - 10 pts, 1 stl
Marcus Derrickson - 10 pts, 7 reb

Philadelphia 76ers - 123

Jabari Parker - 44 pts, 8 reb, 2 stl
Adreian Payne - 15 pts, 7 reb, 2 ast, 3 stl, 2 blk
Lonzo Ball - 15 pts, 14 ast, 3 stl
E'Twaun Moore - 13 pts, 3 ast, 1 stl, 1 blk
Al Horford - 9 pts, 7 reb

We not only lost the game by just eight points but we also lost Myles Turner to a broken foot. We are hurting in the post now.

----------

Charlotte Hornets - 92

Harrison Barnes - 18 pts, 9 reb, 2 ast
Kris Dunn - 17 pts, 5 reb, 5 ast, 1 stl
Trae Young - 13 pts, 7 ast, 1 blk
Jakob Pöltl - 12 pts, 13 reb, 1 stl, 1 blk
Christian Wood - 10 pts, 5 reb

Brooklyn Nets - 111

Pascal Siakam - 28 pts, 18 reb, 2 ast, 1 stl, 1 blk
Fred VanVleet - 16 pts (7-19 FG, 2-13 3PT)
Malachi Richardson - 14 pts, 5 reb, 7 ast, 2 stl
Rashad Vaughn - 14 pts, 2 ast, 1 stl
Frank Jackson - 11 pts, 7 ast

Turned around and were able to secure a win without a new depth chart and Myles Turner still logging 11 minutes with his broken foot. Pascal Siakam is about to be unleashed with the lack of other big men around him.

103-89 win @Detroit to secure Phil Jackson's definition of a title contender: 40 wins before 20 losses, we sit at 40-19.

Big time showing by Winslow, who had an astounding game matched up with SJJ (efficient 26 points, while holding SJJ to 10 points on 2-17 shooting!). Detroit did a pretty good job chasing my guys off the three point line in this slow, grind-it-out game, but we still out-shot Detroit significantly. My "centers" Chriss and Mika both fouled out of this game, but had some big block totals.

Winslow: 26 points, 8 rebounds, 3 steals, 2 blocks, 12-18 FG
Monk: 20 points, 5 assists, 8-14 FG, 4-9 3P
Harden: 18 points, 6 assists, 3 steals
Chriss: 11 points, 8 rebounds, 5 blocks
Mika:: 7 points, 4 blocks

We go beat in a b2b in mighty LA. First the Clips and then at least the Lakers got a win too.
We were ice cold from three in both games and are enjoy fouling everyone who moves and turning over the ball. Looks like my guys have a little bit too much fun out on the court.

Tough back to back losses to PHI/MIA, as we played pretty well in both games, but we just gave up a little too much at the line, and defense not limiting enough shots. Ugh, this schedule is an absolute killer this year.

Phoenix Suns – 117, Utah Jazz – 95

PHX
Beasley – 35 pts (12-19 FGs, 8-14 3PAs), 4 rebs
Austin – 24 pts (10-15 FGs), 9 rebs, 2 blks
Shaq – 11 pts, 7 rebs, 6 asts (1 TO)

UTA
Porzingis – 29 pts (13-21 FGs), 5 rebs, 3 blks
Papagiannis – 15 pts (7-8 FGs), 7 rebs
Irving – 19 pts, 4 asts, 3 rebs, 3 stls, 2 blks

We got a dominating win on the road over the hugely underachieving Jazz. This Jazz team has way too much talent to be playing this terribly. Beasley and Austin were near unstoppable, going for 59 points on 22-34 shooting. Defensively, we guarded the arc well and forced 19 turnovers.

I began experimenting this game since we have such a commanding lead in the standings, giving Taylor and Collins the day off. I already know what they can do, so I wanted to see what some of our other guys can do in expanded roles. I also moved Shaq to the wing to see what he can do from there. Again, I already know what he can do at PG, so time to see how he does on the wing. Whitehead will lead the show at PG in the meantime.

Was Porter hurt? He played 19 minutes with no shot attempts, that's not like him

You played WInslow at PF and C? I'm pretty sure he played Gates and Reed and had no impact on SJJ.

Regardless, SJJ shot his worst game as a Piston on a bum knee and we felt it. Him and Bam kept the Houston front court in foul trouble, but the team shot awful all around

Strictly PF. iirc SJJ was playing more of his minutes at the 4 unless you changed it this sim.

Didn't realize SJJ was hurt though
