115-124 home loss to New Orleans. We got stomped by the Pelicans superstar big man from putting up 26/16... except it was Nikola Vucevic, not Anthony Davis.

Looney and Aminu actually held Davis in check very well (12/7 on 4-7 shooting), but KAT couldn't stay out of foul trouble, as he played just 17 minutes. Still had a super-efficient 18 points, but we needed him to defend Vuc. Knew I should've zoned more.

Davis Bertans: 22 points (9-11 shooting)
Kevon Looney: 18 points, 5 rebounds (8-13 shooting)
Karl-Anthony Towns: 18 points (6-7 shooting) in 17 minutes
Justin Patton: 8 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 blocks

PG: Tyus Jones / Tyler Ulis / Nigel Williams-Goss
SG: Dragan Bender / Malik Monk / Reggie Jackson
SF: Nicolas Batum / Davis Bertans / JaKarr Sampson
PF: Kevon Looney / Al-Farouq Aminu / Tony Mitchell
C: Karl-Anthony Towns / Justin Patton / Damjan Rudez

Niiiiiice. Beat NY and Atl in our league leading B2B filled schedule amd without Blake and a concussed Goodluck O. This roster racks up steals and has finally stopped fouling so much. I think I know exactly what I want to add to next seasons roster and who I want to bring back.

2 more wins in b2b home games. Scored 130 against miami and Brooklyn. Also allowed 100 against each. No matter if both have been 20+ wins, our defense needs to improve.

Game 1: Phoenix Suns - 118, Utah Jazz - 111

PHX
Collins - 17 pts (6-10 shooting), 7 rebs, 4 blks
N'Diaye - 10 pts (4-6 shooting), 8 rebs
Taylor - 23 pts (15-17 FTs)

UTA
Porzingis - 22 pts (14-14 FTs), 7 rebs, 2 blks
Cotton - 18 pts (6-12 shooting), 9 asts (0 TOs), 3 rebs
Curry - 17 pts, 3 asts (1 TO)

It's hard to tell exactly what happened with Utah here because of the Ghost Bamba thing going on. So I'll keep this brief. We won by 7 on the road against a good Jazz team.

Game 2: Phoenix Suns - 113, San Antonio Spurs - 106

PHX
Austin - 23 pts (9-16 shooting), 7 rebs, 6 asts (0 TOs), 3 blks
McConnell - 17 pts (6-11 shooting, 4-8 from deep), 9 asts (1 TO), 5 rebs, 2 stls
Beasley - 14 pts (4-6 from deep), 4 asts (0 TOs), 3 rebs

SAS
LaVine - 18 pts (6-13 from deep), 8 rebs
Lauvergne - 16 pts (7-12 shooting), 8 rebs
Jackson - 10 pts (5-9 shooting), 2, rebs, 2 stls, 2 blks

Not our prettiest game, but we got a win on the road, so I'll take it. LaVine kept the Spurs in it with his hot shooting from downtown, but we forced 8 more turnovers and got 14 blocks. Austin and McConnell played great. Unfortunately, we picked up a rash of minor injures (3), ranging from 3 to 7 sims. Guess I'll be busy the next couple weeks with DCs.

Brooklyn Nets - 113

Mario Hezonja - 25 pts, 6 reb, 7 ast, 2 stl, 2 blk
Myles Turner - 24 pts, 8 reb, 1 blk
Fred VanVleet - 21 pts, 2 reb, 5 ast
Chris Tang - 17 pts, 3 reb, 2 ast, 1 stl
Jakob Pöltl - 12 pts, 7 reb, 1 blk

Atlanta Hawks - 128

Dante Exum - 42 pts, 5 reb, 3 ast, 3 stl, 2 blk
Nikola Jokic - 20 pts, 9 reb, 2 ast, 3 stl, 3 blk
LeBron James - 15 pts, 6 reb, 4 ast, 2 stl
Gary Payton II - 15 pts, 4 ast

We got Exum'd in Atlanta as he exploded for 42 against us as he shot 12-17 from the floor and 18-23 from the line. For us, Mario Hezonja has been great not only in scoring the ball but playing a well-rounded game by padding stats all across the box score. We didn't play well at all but I've been very encouraged with Chris Tang yet again.

----------

Brooklyn Nets - 104

Myles Turner - 28 pts, 7 reb, 2 ast, 3 stl, 1 blk
Mario Hezonja - 14 pts, 8 reb, 4 ast
Fred VanVleet - 13 pts, 4 ast, 2 stl
Chris Tang - 12 pts, 3 reb, 3 ast

Boston Celtics - 130

Ben McLemore - 35 pts, 5 reb, 2 ast, 2 blk
Shabazz Napier - 19 pts, 4 reb, 9 ast, 1 stl
Skal Labissiere - 19 pts, 6 reb, 1 stl, 1 blk
DeAaron Fox - 13 pts, 8 ast
Aaron Gordon - 11 pts, 7 reb, 2 ast, 3 stl

If we thought we played poorly in Atlanta, this game against the Celtics on the second night of a back-to-back was even worse. Aside from Myles Turner, nobody showed up to give their best effort in this one. We couldn't get any stops as Boston shot 55% against us and they forced us into 21 turnovers. Yuck!

Good news, we went 2-0 against Indy, and Memphis.

Bad news, we have a bunch of injuries now, biggest one is Tavares out for 20 days. Smh.
The Future is Here!

1-1 sim and finally a win again.
Home win against the Nets, road loss against the Cavs.
The win we were finally able to take care of the ball, against the Cavs fell back to be careless. On some point they will listen, right?
