I offered a max contract to Vaughn in the offseason, so in my opinion great deal for the Clippers. I understand Brett's decision, though.

Dallas/LAC - Talent wise LAC got the better end here, as Vaughn is a lethal efficient scorer who can play some solid defense, and is young. But Dallas needs a PG to run the show, as D-Rose got hurt, so LAC took advantage.

LAL/Utah - On paper I definitely like it more for Utah, as they gained a potential 2 way big man in Papa, meanwhile adding a 1st is a good bonus as well. Maybe Mudiay will excel under Tim, but his efficiency is worrisome right now.

Ratings-wise Mudiay looks very similar to Brandon Knight

Except the +12 passing/+7 DRB/+5 DI and breaking 70 IQ make Mudiay far superior ratings wise.

SCR +1/ DEF +2/ =STL/+20 DRFL for Knight.

I just think they're pretty similar and will be similar on the court that's all. Didn't say he was bad.

Yikes, either Lakers sold Papa for pennies or my evaluation of talent is incredibly bad. I was actually considering a Dennis Smith for Papa straighup swap at some stage and I'd say Smith is head and shoulders above Mudiay :(

Why wasn't that DEN 1st on the table when I dealt Wall the first time?!? Regardless, I like my return and I'm sure Jon is happy with his.

Gotta love when the trade deadline sim doesn't take place until two admin/commish finalize a trade. Lol. Good on you guys.

I think Wall is getting up there and Denver not yet in position for him to be the difference maker. They didn't give up much if he can help draw that pick to the back end of the lottery, though. Looks like a softer draft.

Not bad either way.

I was really hoping that Utah would have kept mudiay as I think he is a huge liability in the playoffs with his efficiency so getting a first round pick for him is huge, getting papa on top of him is a steal. Amazing deal, not sure what Tim is thinking here.

As far as the Denver Detroit deal. I dont really like it for either side. While Detroit is still the best in the East they werent even a top 3 team in the West with Wall now are arguably not even top 5. Fortunately they only have to play 1 west team but it looks like the title will once again live in the West.

Value wise I think it was good for Denver and maybe Myles was just tired of being average. I think they would rather have used the lotto pick during the draft and draft someone or trade for someone that would be a nice pair with Jackson as opposed to the aging Wall.
FINALLY a logical HC Rule our work is done

I'm not a big fan of either one, but I think Mudiay>Papagiannis. I just don't understand why Utah needed Papagiannis

PG: Tyus Jones / Tyler Ulis / Nigel Williams-Goss
SG: Dragan Bender / Malik Monk / Kyle Lowry / Reggie Jackson
SF: Nicolas Batum / Davis Bertans / JaKarr Sampson
PF: Kevon Looney / Al-Farouq Aminu
C: Karl-Anthony Towns / Justin Patton / Rudy Gobert

Denver/Detroit is the main story though- a little surprised to see Denver going win-now and picking up an aging PG while being more than 10 games under .500. I think it's just too big of a hill to climb at this point. Wouldve made sense if we were 30-40 games into the season instead of 50-55. Ignoring the fit, I think it's a good value move though. Boban should be nice.

Great for Detroit who get rid of their logjam of high usage no-3s PGs and get a lotto pick this summer. The pick shouldn't yield a star, but should get them a valuable contributor. Randle is an interesting acquisition for them, since they will not be relying on him for big minutes. They can coddle him now and keep him healthy during the regular season then unleash him rounds deep in the playoffs. That's going to be interesting.

PG: Tyus Jones / Tyler Ulis / Nigel Williams-Goss
SG: Dragan Bender / Malik Monk / Kyle Lowry / Reggie Jackson
SF: Nicolas Batum / Davis Bertans / JaKarr Sampson
PF: Kevon Looney / Al-Farouq Aminu
C: Karl-Anthony Towns / Justin Patton / Rudy Gobert

I don't think Mudiay and Knight have any similarity. Brandon is a shooter, a streaky one, but can certainly shoot the ball. Mudiay isn't. That's a critical difference for a guard.

And Mudiay is a much better passer. They aren't really that similar.

Seems like Myles got tired of losing. It's not a horrible deal, but not sure it's enough to get them that 8th seed this year.
Boban is nice though. Wish I had cap to sign him this off season.

They're different players - Smith is a scorer/shooter combo guard with range out to 3, whereas Mudiay is a passer/defensive 1-3 slasher.

Once he gets his shot prefs fixed, Mudiay will be a lot better player. He's gotten a lot of conflicting instructions from his teams.
