How hard was it to miss the playoffs the very last second?
I thought we are on a good way to a decent rivalry like we have with Detroit (met 5-6 times in the playoffs), do you think you start to be playoff bound for several years to come with the current core?

Fuck Marry Kill (Yes I stole this from that other dude) KD Kyrie Kawhi
Brooklyn was the only team available when I rejoined the league so I didn't have much of an option. In order to spice the franchise up a bit I had to go with a rebrand to the black and gold instead of boring black and white.

F - KD
M - Kawhi
K - Kyrie

If the players develop and we are able to make an addition in free agency then there is no doubt that we will be in the playoffs this coming season. Once we all move to DDS19, all bets are off haha.

With free agency all but over for the Brooklyn Nets, GM Rizzo is open to taking on questions from the media.

Do you think Malachi could be your teams star in the new engine?

Star? I think that's a bit out of reach for him at this stage of his career. I'm not sure he will ever score enough to be considered a star but I think the move to the new engine will benefit him. First off, he gives me an elite perimeter defender to put on the opposing team's best scorer. I also think while the new engine emphasizes the three-point shot more than the current engine, he's got enough handles to score on pull-ups and some drives as well. I think the goal is that we are banking on DeAndre Ayton and Anfernee Simons to be our stars, but Malachi Richardson should provide us a very good/elite role player to play with them.

What do you think about him going forward into the new engine?

How will you feel once you find yourself below us in the standings

After seeing the moves you have made and players you've drafted this summer, it wouldn't surprise us to be in a dog fight with the Knicks in the standings. If Zion comes in and is as good as advertised, you have by far the best player on either roster. Unless our young guys - Ayton, Richardson, Isaac, Derrickson, Simons - develop, we could be looking up at the Knicks in the standings this year.
