Re: Question and Answer with Gary
When is Milos going to Detroit?
But, for real now, why downgrading from TT to Henson when you have tons of depth already?
Aren’t you scared of being a treadmill team?

Well, to me TT was a solid player, but was a little too inconsistent for us. It seems like he didn't coexist well with Tavares, so we decided to move him into smaller contract pieces that can do a bit more different things than TT. Also we have a day 30 deal that will help us clear a ton of cap space for this off-season, so I think we will have some cap spaces to play with to retool this roster. Then next year we will have 2 1st round picks to work with as well, so I think that deal makes sense.
This is why I am doing a little retool/shuffle for the future, as I feel even in our peak right now we can't go deep in the playoffs.

Re: Question and Answer with Gary
Depending on how training camp goes, he will most likely come off the bench right now. As I am looking at him, and Anigbogu as the post duo of our future.Stockton12 wrote: ↑Mon Feb 04, 2019 1:07 am Is ivan rabb going to start or come of the bench ..what’s your starting five

Re: Question and Answer with Gary
He will be a good combo guard for us that will play some PG/SG off the bench, and once that day 30 deal is posted, then I expect him to see even more minutes down the stretch.

Who do you consider to be your Eddie Sessoms of the CSL?

Re: Question and Answer with Gary
That's a tough one, as Sessoms was a very unique player for a PG. I will say the closest guy we got here is probably Westbrook. Westbrook is definitely a better man to man defender, but they are similar in terms of their combo guard ability, their ability to score, rebound, and fill the stat sheet up.

Do you view this team as a playoff team? What kind of strategies do you think you'll implement? What are your core guys?

Playoffs is definitely the goal, and honestly I love the versatility of the team this year. I am hoping we will play more consistently this season, and perhaps get more than 45 wins.

SE Division - Hawks, they did work this offseason
Eastern Conference - Brooklyn Nets, as that team has lots of depth/youth that will improve more this season. They will be a tough out for everyone.
Western Conference - Denver Nuggets, as John Wall, Jayson Tatum, Josh Jackson, Jarnell Stokes, and Deandre Jordan is going to be a mean starting 5.

Re: Question and Answer with Gary
Honestly I do feel like we should make the playoffs, as we gained more depth this season without losing many crucial pieces. Tristan was the only starter we lost, but in return we gained some very valuable players. We also have a day 30 deal that will give us a legitimate piece.
Strat wise we will probably run it through Milos, and Big Walt and defensively will be lots of man to man defense, and just try to play discipline defense.
Core guys: Milos, Inglis, Batum, Henson, Tavares will be out starting 5 this year.

Yeah you guys have a different roster. Will be interesting to see how they all mesh. You had the talent last year but they didn't play well together.hardenwithnod wrote: ↑Wed Feb 06, 2019 8:13 pmPlayoffs is definitely the goal, and honestly I love the versatility of the team this year.
