Is the new Nets GM Legit?!

Post by Andrewu91 »

After Rizzo left the Nets in a decent position, a new Nets GM has been hired. He hasn't had previous NBA sim league experience, but he has had been in plenty of Madden Sim Leagues.

But is he ready for the CSL? Can he handle the elite General Managers in this league?! I for sure hope so. He is from Philly, and Jon, Doug and I are also from the Keystone State.

The Nets have two franchise players in Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and DeAndre Ayton. Those two players are untouchables.

But looking at the rest of the roster, where else is the help? I mean, they have some young or decent pieces (Hero, Vaughn, Siakim, Austin, Ulis, Malachi Richardson). The help is mostly at the guard position, with Small Forward being a major weakness on this team...

Work needs to be done with this team. Maybe not major trades, but where the obvious weaknesses are, and I hope Shane can handle the challenge.
------------------------------------------

The draft is right around the corner, and Shane has only had a few scouts to scout a player(s). In my mind, in case a GM leaves in the future, the new manager should be rewarded with more scouts, as they are basically left with articles(real or fake information)? So with this said, this sort of forces him to trade the 13th overall pick unless he just guesses on the fly. With being in the lottery, the pick is very valuable. But let's see what happens there.

But the most important question is, is he the real deal? He seems to be confident talking to him, but I don't think his team can even win more games than the Raptors with him at the wheel...

Let's wait and see I guess

This is precisely the kind of draft where having a late lottery pick with little or no info is not a bad thing, though. Consensus seems to be the quality drops off to strictly bench guys after about 8 or 9.

I’m currently working on the mock and can say I’m having a lot of trouble deciding who to pick after #9. It’s been virtually impossible to figure out who the good players are, and many will probably reach for their guys. Trading #13 for safer help should both benefit the Nets postseason quest and avoid selecting the wrong player, honestly!

But I’ll do my best to try to help Shane with the mock, in case he decides to draft!

Probably smoking that Delta 8. He's normally a chatter box, reason why I wrote the article.

First and foremost any questions of the level of competence in which I have to run a team, or build a winning roster shouldn’t even need to be asked by the Knicks Gm.

After years of winning championships on multiple sim platforms and fantasy leagues, and madden championships (including 4 consecutive super bowl wins over Knicks Gm in 2014) I decided to accept Andrews challenge to take my level of talent to the CSL..

It was all fun and games when I was considering taking the job offer from the nuggets rather the nets, but once I realized the potential of SGA and Ayton, well I simply realized these are the type of players I have previously built championship rosters around in other sports and or platforms.

For the question on if I have what it takes will simply be answered on game days on the hardwood.

I’m not one to sling mud to and from my rivals I truly believe action speaks louder than words. We have full confidence in bringing a winning mindset to the Brooklyn nets through preparation and culture and life long bonds any team can win a game but only a family can win a championship.

As for my opinions on the knicks subtle, dry attempt at getting into our heads I would just say I think as a Gm he might have realized with all of the talent he had he only barely edged out my predecessor and now that I took the nets job instead his fears of returning to New York’s basement of sport franchises is all but an inevitable reality I mean they practically have a parking spot with their name on it.
———————————————————————————-
As for the draft im open to all offers for my 13th pick as well as offers to possibly move up. I also have some pieces that are available in Austin hero sikiam and anyone not named SGA or Ayton.

Side note I did not lose in real life basketball to the knicks Gm either.

I can’t help you there but I feel timing of some sort is always an issue with you.
