I definitely would not still be the GM in Denver if I had an owner to answer to, I won like 60 games combined in my first three seasons.
I tend to disagree. Brett Brown went through a lot of losing his first few seasons in Philly. A lot has to do with the situation you inherit, and what the expectations are. You took over what was one of the worst (if not the worst) situations in the CSL. NuggOlesk... what to say about that guy?
Brett Brown wasn't the GM though... that was Sam Hinkie. And we all know what happened to that guy.

I would be given a contract extension and a huge raise if this were real life

Lol article.

We'll make sure we step it up when our pick conveys to BK.
Add shooting then.

Since Jerry Reinsdorf isn't known for firing his employees I'm quite sure I would have fired myself at some point due to lack of spending. No way if he was the GM I would be spending 90M a year, well over the luxury tax, even if that led to a ring and consistent playoff appearances. And I wouldn't obviously like that, as I like to win and win and only win. He would probably kill me for offering some of the contracts I did but it is what it is.
