GRADE: A

“Acquiring a proven veteran for a young talent and some 2nd rounders doesn’t happen all the time. Harkless will fit very well with AD and expires at the end of the year. New Orleans are in a tough position to add more talent, but that deal here certainly helped them solidify one position.”

Pleasantly surprised with my grade. Honest take, we have minimal to work with, so it's scraps for as much as possible.

This is a great trade. Harkless is easily your #2 player now. He defends really well and is a decent scorer. And you got him cheap enough to be considered as basically a free agent signing.

Ideally you land someone else to bump Harkless down to your 3rd best player but this was a great start to your offseason.

I don't "feel bad" for MEM, they passed on some other deals and chose what they chose so they clearly felt those players etc were worth whatever they traded for them.

But of course MEM got worked in the trade that's a given and the vets who pounced on them knew they could work him but that's lazy to trade a rookie in Collin Sexton for a horrible and overpaid guy like Ulis and that decision is gonna hinder the team, then midway thru the year they'll realize they want a PG then likely tear it down and rebuild it but they actually had a rebuilding piece in Sexton.

But meanwhile y'all talk shit to each other about my trade feelers etc but crap trades that actually end up being trades go down, like this one lol
