Top20 Ever Drafted - Do you agree?

Finally had a chance to really read this over and I tend to agree on your list for the most part. Others (including you Dennis) mentioned defense isn't rated as highly as I like but given how difficult it is to judge these guys I really respect the effort here. I think my next article will be a league article as opposed to a Raptors one. What I find interesting is the top teams all have something in common - elite scouting and smart drafting.

and don't get guys like Taylor or Okaro or any of those other talents with late picks.

We scouted 2 or 3 of the years for our later picks (and did last year and have this year) but there is a ton of valuable info in the draft area if you look closely. Even minor things like Boatright as a late second, one article mentioned he's the best passer and for a late second, you do it because at worse, it's still a great pick at that point.

Although a lot of it is luck in boosts and development. Could have taken Taylor but the draft stuff to me had Cousins and Whitehead ahead of him.

My list would have a different order likely but honestly that hardly matters. I love the idea of the article DJ. Great job right there. And that listed there is the future of CSL

I understand the pressure of being a #1 pick as expectations are very high and, to some extent, Ingram has not met those expectations on the offensive end, but I'm absolutely in love with Ingram's production and will draft him again with that pick. He is a unique defensive player: viewtopic.php?f=19&t=9428

And yes your concerns about the "potential" guys are definitely valid.

I get the feeling Taylor isn't your kind of guy considering this comment, followed by you not even mentioning him on your list haha. To each their own, I'm not going to try to convince others whether he should or shouldn't be on this list.

That being said, did you really just put Taylor in the same category as SJJ defensively? In what world does 65 DEF and 62 STL mean that player's a bad defensive SG? From your comments, you'd think he was Bradley Beal defensively or something. Don't get me wrong, he's not an elite defender or even a good one per se. But he is solid, no better, no worse.

I'm not sure if it's just your misconception of him or whether you actually looked at his defensive ratings, but Taylor is a better defender than a good number of the players you put on your list.
