Welcome to Milwaukee ... the Big Ball City. In a time when speed and quickness rule the CSL, the Bucks swim against the tide, with only three players below 6'6" in the roster (and one of them not expected to see many minutes). The Bucks were the third best team in the league after the All-Star break last season only behind the Miami Heat and the Phoenix Suns, yet every season prediction ranking counts them out of the playoffs. These are the 15 players on the 2025-26 roster.
#3 Kelly Oubre Jr / SF / 25 / 6'7" / 195 lbs
Oubre will enter his sixth season as a Buck in a contract year. A bit inconsistent, he has shown flashes of being an athletic perimeter defender with a streaky outside shot. Last season he played in 74 games, averaging 4.2 points and 1.5 rebounds in 12.3 minutes per contest. His role on the team this season is undefined at this point, but head coach Chris Duhon has always supported him.
#4 Quincy Acy / PF / 29 / 6'7" / 238 lbs
The team captain is back for another year. Acy was the first player drafted by the current Front Office and still remains a Buck seven years later. He signed another one-year deal this summer to wear the Bucks jersey for an eighth consecutive season. Last season he took part in 33 games, averaging 2.5 points and 2.2 rebounds in 11.9 minutes of game action.
#6 Troy Brown / SG / 21 / 6'7" / 215 lbs
Once a controversial draft selection, Brown has established as a fierce defender and versatile player. His sophomore season saw him deliver 16.0 points, 3.4 assists, 3.4 rebounds and 1.6 steals in 29.8 minutes per game. His shooting is a work in progress, but he improved as the season advanced, being a key factor in the team's sensational run after the All-Star break. For most of the season he also defended the opponent best player. Not only he is improving every month, but he has seen his endurance grow after another fantastic training camp.
#7 Thon Maker / PF / 25 / 7'1" / 232 lbs
Despite the long time he has been in Milwaukee, Maker is still ony 25. The versatile forward has established himself as a very solid defender. He has only missed 23 games in six years, and last season averaged 11.8 points, 6.2 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 1.1 steals and 0.9 blocks in 30.1 minutes per game. His impact on the defensive end has decreased a bit with the new rules, but coach Duhon still considers him a fundamental block of this team. While his overall shooting efficiency has improved, he has still not recovered his three-point shooting form of 2021 and 2022.
#8 Jarred Vanderbilt / SF / 21 / 6'9" / 215 lbs
After two seasons in the pros, Vanderbilt will start his third season with the Bucks. His sophomore year saw his role being reduced with respect to his rookie season, and his place in the rotation is unknown at the moment. In preseason he showed he can be a solid defender, so that may give him some minutes here and there.
#10 Daniel Gafford / PF / 21 / 6'11" / 233 lbs
The Bucks invested the 14th overall selection last draft in Gafford, a lenghty forward out of Arkansas who is a shotblocking specialist. His preseason was excellent with great defensive numbers. He will add rim protection, something Milwaukee was not extremely good at last season.
#12 Ja Morant / PG / 20 / 6'3" / 175 lbs
Morant rookie season was solid: 11.5 points, 4.0 assists, 2.2 rebounds and 1.1 steals in 25.6 minutes per game, shooting 45.5 % from the field, 82.4 % from the free throw line and 41.1 % from three-point range. An excellent ball handler with great offensive instinct, Morant enters his sophomore season after a very good training camp, hoping to have a bigger role in the Bucks gameplan.
#14 Brandon Ingram / SF / 24 / 6'9" / 190 lbs
Ingram was the first free agent to sign this summer, and he did so for a maximum five-year contract. While others tried to save here and there, the Bucks were very clear to Ingram's agent from the very first minute. The lengthy forward will start his fifth season as a pro in Milwaukee, with the goal of taking the team to the next stage. Last season he finally surpassed the 20-points per game average, something not easy to do in a team that plays such a slow pace as the Bucks. Not only did he score, but he is a sound defender and versatile player: 20.3 points, 5.8 rebounds, 3.7 assists, 1.9 steals and 1.2 blocks in 35.6 minutes per contest, shooting 45.1 % from the field, 82.1 % from the free throw line and 37.8 % from three-point range.
#15 Przemek Karnowski / C / 28 / 7'1" / 304 lbs
If it wasn't for his average rebounding, Karnowski would be an old school big man. He has size and his footwork is great, specially compared to his contemporaries. He can score efficiently inside and knows what to do at every moment. He doesn't make many mistakes, finds the open teammate easily and gets opponents in foul trouble. This will be his third season in Milwaukee, hoping to finally see some playoff action.
#18 Chris Tang / PG / 25 / 6'3" / 190 lbs
Tang signed a one-year deal to complete the Bucks roster by adding depth to the backcourt. His preseason performance was better than expected, showing a solid ability to hit from outside. He has very good handles and could see more minutes than initially expected.
#20 Matthew Dellavedova / SG / 29 / 6'4" / 202 lbs
One of the best perimeters defenders in the CSL, Dellavedova enters a contract year. This will be his third season with the Bucks, where he has firmly established himself as a starter. His three-point shooting ability is also great, converting close to the 40 % mark in his previous two seasons in Milwaukee. At 29 he is, alongside Acy, the oldest player in the roster. A veteran presence that will be needed to reach the team's goals.
#21 Jalen Jones / SF / 27 / 6'7" / 210 lbs
One of the new acquisitions, Jones brings size to the Bucks perimeter. In addition, he is a very good ball handler and solid defender. His outside shot is streaky, but last season he did pretty well for the Utah Jazz. His preseason output was below expectations, but coach Duhon believes he will play better off the bench once the regular season starts.
#25 Dikembe Dixson / SG / 24 / 6'6" / 200 lbs
Another perimeter player with length, good handles and streaky outside shooting ... this time, though, Dixson adds shot blocking in the perimeter as opposed to man-to-man defense. That will surely help the Bucks with matchups during the season. If can recover his rookie season form he had with Los Angeles Lakers, the Bucks may have a very good rotation player.
#31 Vlatko Cancar / SF / 24 / 6'9" / 200 lbs
Yet another lengthy ball handler. However, this time it's no defense the selling card, but an excellent outside shooting mechanics. Cancar may be able to play all positions but center, given also his IQ and passing allow him to do so. A very interesting player that will give this defensive team a different look. Preseason confirmed his skills and coach Duhon is excited to have him on board.
#34 Wendell Carter / PF / 22 / 6'10" / 250 lbs
The king of the boards. Carter has established himself as the best rebounder in the league, and he even improved that ability during last training camp. Having a player like him is a luxury, as you don't need your other players to be strong on the boards. Carter will enter his fourth season as a pro with two goals in mind: make the playoffs and improve his offensive game.
