What the f**k is happening in the NBA right now

Post by Myles »

Chris Paul to the Rockets, PG to the Thunder, Griffin somehow gets a 5 year 173M to stay with the Clips, Rubio to the Jazz for nothing.

A week ago Butler to the Wolves was the biggest trade ripoff since Pau to the Lakers. Now Indy has made an even worse trade with OKC. WTF!!!

Westbrook/Roberson/George/Gibson/Adams is nasty defensively. Could end up being the top defense in the league with a pretty interesting offense.

I kinda feel bad for the Pacers. George making it known publicly that he plans to go to LA next year has really killed his trade value. The Pacers are just getting what they can at this point.

What's most disappointing to me is the Celtics. They had better land Hayward or they've made a huge blunder. They have all of these assets but couldn't beat the crappy offers the Bulls and Pacers ended up taking for Butler or George?

Pacers should have took LA's deal. I think it was Randle, and two firsts..
Instead they got Dipo who is owed 20 million a year and a mid tier prospect.

I love this offseason.

Just shows how overrated Ainge is and how treadmill that franchise really is.

LA will win a title again before them. Take that to the bank.

The Celtics offer was supposedly Bradley + Crowder and two picks. That was definitely way better

For George? Interesting. That is way better than what they got. They must be super high on oladipo.

Yeah I'm seeing a lot of reporting that since the offer didn't include Tatum, Brown, or BKN picks, they weren't interested. They also liked the LAL offer last week but didn't want to give into PGs demands without "winning the trade."

I can kinda see demanding a little more from the Celtics because teams often don't want to help out a conference rival. But turning down a much better offer just because the Celtics have the assets to "offer more" is just bad GMing. At the end of the day, you need to get what's best for your team. I don't know how you can look the camera in the face and say you did what's best for your team by (allegedly) declining the Celtics deal and accepting the Thunder deal.

This is what Woj reported. Indiana is stupid lmfao. Every offer was better than that one.

According to Woj, sounds like the Celtics were willing to deal Smart, Crowder, two non BKN picks, but wanted to wait till after Gordon Hayward got resolved. The Pacers have to wait until July 6th anyway to do this trade. I don't understand why they couldn't wait for the Celtics

Was thinking the same thing, it's more like the CSL offseason. Some great duos being put together, Golden State will be a one and done championship winner again but 2 titles in 3 yrs ain't bad at all!

If Iggy leaves GS, it's a wrap.
