Re: Stupid Questions Thread
The mother team also has to be able to sign the player to that contract (not going over HC) because he's signed and then traded.

Re: Stupid Questions Thread
How will the transition to DDS:PB 19 work?
Will we have to fight for teams, or do current GMs keep their current teams?
This is a very stupid question, but just to clarify.

Current teams. The ratings could change a bit but you'll have the same roster.

Re: Stupid Questions Thread
* How much weight can players lose / gain per TC?
* What is the impact of gaining / losing weight? Please list pros / cons.
* What is the "ideal" weight per position?
Thanks in advance!

Re: Stupid Questions Thread
It will be explained better during training camp but players can change their weight by -10, -5, 0, +5, +10 depending on the setting you choose.
Lighter players stop drives on defense. This is why the overwhelming majority of guards and wings are light. And also why you'll see heavy big men have extremely low STP% even if they're great defensively.
The advantage of weight seems a little more theoretical, but I've seen people suggest that heavier players may rebound better and be a bit more effective finishing at the rim.
Others may disagree, but I think 170-185 is a good weight for a PG, <200 for a SG, 200-225 for a SF, 215-230 for a PF, and center really depends on what kind you want. I keep mine in the 220-235 range. Others like to beef them up.
I imagine the above ties in with height as well. I want to say that a 6'9 220 guy will stop more drives at the same position with the same ratings as a 6'3 220 guy, but I really have no idea.

Re: Stupid Questions Thread
I agree with everything kyrus said but I think SFs. Eed ti be under 215, especially if they are under 6'6 then they should be closer to 200. Pf you would want 230 or under. Imo it's basically a height to weight ratio. I havent really seen a player have an advantage by being heavier regardless of position.

Re: Stupid Questions Thread
Oops I wrote that pretty early. Yeah 225 is on the heavy side for a SF. Probably should've said 215.OneNole wrote: ↑Fri Aug 23, 2019 7:21 pm I agree with everything kyrus said but I think SFs. Re: Stupid Questions Thread
As Brett said, what matters is the ratio. Low weight-to-height ratio better at stopping drives as Kyrus said, high ratio good for inside scoring.
