CSL Online
Gentlemen,
I've been working diligently on putting together an online scouting app for us to utilize going forward. I want to show you what I have right now and to hear feedback on what you guys think and would want to see. There are developer notes throughout the site to let you know what I'm already thinking and what still needs to be implemented.
Please leave all comments here so I can keep track of them and refer back. Thanks!!!!
The current class loaded into the app listed under 2024 is not the real class we will be using. All the players and their basic info (height, weight, position, school, age) is straight from NBADraft.net. When DDS19 releases I toyed with the idea of creating the 2019 NBA Draft and only got as far as the basic info. For all the other numbers they are completely random and most don’t make sense. For example, ball actions should all add up to 100 but that’s clearly not the case.
2/18/19 - Haven’t updated this in a while but finally had a mini breakthrough. I’m now able to connect to the database to grab all the data necessary. Once I configure it to display the data how I need, I can move on to test driving the actual scouting process. Once that’s done, it’s on to configuring a Big Board.
At this point, I’m very optimistic that this will be ready in plenty of time for next season!
1/31/19 - Shifted gears a bit and determined I'm going to allow people to create their own login information via a signup form. Right now I have a signup, login and logout function working. I'm going to ask for people to start creating their login information so that way I can perhaps use the data down the line for creating GM profile pages and other stuff.
1/28/19 - Updated the Draft Class pages with a clean, sortable table with a link that sends you to the player page. Much cleaner looking and easily sorted.

Looks great! Would there be a way to export the reports into a nice excel format for us data nerds?

Re: CSL Online
I don’t have any experience with exporting data to Excel but I think once I get a legitimate database up and running for this app then I’m sure there’s a way for me to print all entries for a specific team to a .csv file.

Re: CSL Online
Is this done in JavaScript or Python? If it's either I can definitely help with the exporting.
