Admin Team Announcement

Post by emplep7 »

All,

I wanted to officially announce that Doug (aka Greenbear) will be stepping down as a member of the Admin team effective immediately, however he will still remain as the GM of the championship Phoenix Suns. I want to thank Doug for all of the time and effort he has put into the league and for helping carry everything behind the scenes when I had to step away a little for the birth of my two mini-Kemba's.

In his place, Myles who has been here before and knows what it takes to be an Admin in these crazy leagues will be stepping into the role. He has already been helping behind the scenes the past season and will continue in that role with the official title.

We will be looking for help to potentially fill in some behind the scenes duties and potentially test out for an engine upgrade so if anyone is interested, let us know so that we can see if we can fit you in somewhere. The draft team will remain largely unchanged, but since that is now a function separate from the Admin team, we will continue to let them manage that team away from us.

I want to thank Doug again not only for demolishing my spirit this post-season, but for all of the help he has been the past several seasons and hope to never see him again in the Finals! Thanks again Doug and welcome aboard Myles!

-The Admin Team

Good addition. And for the case something like after season 1 happens, jon is still around. Sounds good to me.

I definitely appreciate the kind words from everyone. Humbling for sure. I was originally planning on stepping down after last season, but with Marcos having to step down due to being very busy outside of csl, I couldn't leave Jon all alone. It's just too much for one guy. Myles definitely stepped up this past season and helped out a lot, which is the big reason I feel comfortable stepping down now. I have no doubt Myles will be a great admin. Especially with Jon staying on to keep things running smooth.

I wish the new admin team the best of luck, and I look forward to being a regular GM that gets to annoy them :).

Yeah, much appreciated Doug. It's definitely a tough gig at times so you can enjoy just being a GM now.

and great adding Myles to the team.

Doug is one of the best commissioners I’ve seen in a sim league, well in any league really, so I definitely have big shoes to fill. Thank you for everything you have done for the league man.

Thank you Doug for all you've done for the league - we wouldn't be here (collectively) without your efforts. Tough to replace you but Myles is an excellent commish and I'm looking forward to his promotion!

I really can’t also say how much I appreciate you for staying when I had pretty much no option but stepping down from admin duties. You and I had discussed this before and I know you wanted to go back to being a normal GM and I got in the way unexpectedly and not only you supported me but also stayed to help Jon.

Thank you is not even close to what I mean here. That was a very noble gesture.
